Persistent seller - FIDELITY!Today 05:37
Rumour on Telegram that Fidelity Funds is the background seller of JLP.

JLP is held by the following Fidelity Fund: "Fidelity Investment Funds - Emerging Europe Middle East and Africa Fund A - ACC Shares"

In google search type: "Fidelity Investment Funds liquidating"

The AI Overview produces the following....

AI Overview

Learn more

As of March 6, 2024, Fidelity's Total Emerging Markets Fund has a plan of liquidation approved by its Board of Trustees. The fund will no longer pursue its investment objective.

Liquidation involves selling a fund's assets and distributing the proceeds to its shareholders. This can sometimes force shareholders to sell at a time of their choosing.

Here are some other Fidelity funds that have been involved in liquidations or other changes:

Fidelity Funds - Emerging Europe, Middle East and Africa Fund

In June 2024, Fidelity announced that it would pay a capital distribution to investors on July 17, 2024. The fund also stated that it would continue to review opportunities to sell assets to return value to investors.

Investment Trust

In July 2024, Fidelity announced that it would restrict new investments into the Investment Trust in the best interests of its customers. However, customers will still be able to redeem their existing holdings by selling to cash or switching to other investments.

Jun/Jul is when the decline in the JLP price started.

Therefore Fidelity is liquidating its fund and JLP happens to be one of its components..... nothing to do with any doubts about JLP!

Question now is are Fidelity nearly done?

Ade. I'm not at all hostile. Just wondering where you are going with your thoughts when you are both actively buying and at the same time threatening to sell everything. Re. Waiting for two years I.e.2026 for the capex to deliver I'm not sure that that is the case if the copper progress is reported on continuously. Of course there is always doubt. Maybe the next couple of months will provide some enlightenment. I am sure the figures for full year 24 will not be good but we all know why and that is not where our gaze should be fixed. I can understand your impatience having been in the stock for so long but it is no longer that company you bought into at that time. If it was I would have been out of it already as there would be little hope of the sp's resurrection aka Silvania.I hope for both our sakes that I am right and you are wrong but we shall see fairly soon which it is to be. By the way, I haven't deleted any posts. Unfortunately I can't be at the AGM but I am sure you and several others will hold them to account.

I thought the irony was the investment choice option when paying a dividend was mentioned. If they ever create free cash buy back some of the billions of shares in issue before a dividend! Maybe we might get back to 7 or 8p!

leon has lied his way through the last two years
i will be at the agm in nov
see you there

Leon is beginning to sound much more like a CEO now that his beliefs are turning into reality rather than the excitable and optimistic engineer/chemist who knew what was possible but which has taken ages to fuition.

now only 100k short of 3 mill"

and yet you are close to bailing !

Ade , I am beginning to think there is more than one personality behind your post!

Really Ade? The results? And what will you be looking for in the results in a year when much time and capital has been spent on expansion that you don't already know. ? As far as I could see they could hardly have done this any better and if you think you can make more money elsewhere over the next 3 years or so I would really like to know where that is. The promises have only been delayed and not unfulfilled. It's not as if they have stood still and even now are looking to the future and still committing lots of cash to R&D to make sure they don't sit on their laurels. I'm sure we would all have liked to be rolling in the proverbial by now but their priorities are not yours or mine and I actually think you are being a little unfair.

he was so anxious. he knows he's under pressure - and rightly so
so many years of unfulfilled promises
despite the long term prospects i am v close to bailing
the results will be the determining factor

Excellent interview. Very thorough by Charles and Leon on great form with many new insights into developments. I'm inclined to keep adding while as he says, "the price is ridiculously low".

They need to show improving earnings to justify share issuance. Still waiting!

Goingforarun, issuing shares, didn't have any effect when the share price rallied to over 20p couple years ago. Remember, the issuing of shares is not to pay the overheads but to buy tailings etc to help the company to grow more rapidly. But I hope they don't have to issue more shares.

what is the short term?

My feelings exactly and Charles Archer might well bring this up with any luck. The board need to know that shareholders (including the big ones) won't put up with it much longer.Organic growth is what is required now even if it takes a bit longer.
