"Lots of lead poisoning issues in Zambia and Jubilee are choosing to produce the lead in 2021. Why not clean this up sooner? LOLsss"

Yeah they are extracting the lead from the tailings. Hence removing it from the surrounding area! LOLsss

"It's a massive environmental clean up which will cost Jubilee many millions over the years"

Funny thing is we are not responsible for the current environmental disaster (the previous miners are), so it will not cost us a bean, in fact it will be the opposite it is gonna make us a sh*t ton of money ;)

JLP need to be careful with statements around environment clean up. When I've talked to the board it is an area that we should push. However, we are only ensuring what we put back is done to highest environmental standards.
I don't see JLP as being responsible for cleaning up any residual land/water contamination.
So there is a balancing act in regards to environmental statements. Imo

More large sells going through. Who's the seller? Someone who knows about the placing?

IF JLP are successful in cleaning up the historic kabwe environmental mess , just think how they will be looked at in the future. It seems every day we are seeing someone kicking off about the environment and our children's, childrens's future.
So to clean up what is touted as one of the most polluted areas on earth is a nice scouts badge to have.

sleveen,

Thanks for alerting me to my calculation error, i factored it down by mistake to allow a figure for the lower earnings figure.

If Northam make us bear the transport cost, the calculation could be:-

WINDSOR TRANSPORT COST (revised)

60,000t x $3 = $180,000
$180,000/2,500 oz
$72 transport cost per pgm ounce

Around 6.33% of revenue per pgm oz

(all based on Hernic figures, so be cautious)

Interesting to see who's been adding whilst others (mainly brokers and market makers) have been selling (noting that 2nd September is the latest date in the 'movers'tab:

Morningstar clearly use a different data set though:

Still big chunky sales going through, given the relative size it's surprising that the share price continues to rise. Not that I'm complaining. :-)

The new high surged past palladium’s significant resistance barrier of $1,620, which means more upside, including $1,700 is possible, said Commerzbank AG commodity analyst Carsten Fritsch.

“It already exceeded the zone of massive resistance at 1,600/1,620 on Friday, opening up scope for a further rise to $1,700. There has been no evidence of late of any significant investor interest in palladium. Net long positions have climbed only marginally, while ETF holdings have remained at a low level,” Fritsch wrote.

60k tonnes @$3/tonne -> 2800 PGMoz

60000/2800oz *$3 = $64/oz transport costs.

I hope he buys back in before too long!

He sold 5m at an average of 2.9p and will now have to pay in the region of 3.9p to buy that many back.

Absolutely mad to sell right at the bottom but perhaps he needed the money for something else?!?
