12/8/2019 19:29 | In fact, that reminds me, Musk bought a solar panel company a few years ago, Solar City I think they were called. They specialised in solar panel shingles for houses. Essentially, covert solar panels to power your home. | plat hunter
12/8/2019 19:23 | Solar panels are heavy and not great when it's cloudy and dark. So that's a pretty large chunk of the developed world. For solar panels you need silver though. Silver is cheap cheap cheap atm | plat hunter
12/8/2019 16:51 | "Go figure." I have on Undertaker's thread. PS REDT are doing more but they don't even generate cash let alone profit. | sleveen
12/8/2019 16:44 | H2 the way forward. I had a holding in ITM power but now sold as it will need a placing soon. Unlike JLP which doesn't need a placing as at the 30/6/2019 it will have a about £20m on the balance sheet as cash. $6m (£5m) will by now have been used to pay the Kabwe 1st instalment, with another $3m due within 6 months for the 2nd instalment. | sleveen
12/8/2019 16:33 | the rest is just hydraulics | adejuk
12/8/2019 16:31 | elon is going into nanene in batteries and other power sources the whole car can become a solar panel producing hydrogen, water and electricity | adejuk
12/8/2019 15:05 | Anyhows.. JMAT is back to it's cyclical lows again. Not rotating out of JLP this time, only if i get a bounce back to 850 on FRES then it's back in JMAT again for me. JMAT coincidentally have been commissioned to turn the M4 into the country's first hydrogen highway, out of their hyrdrogen plant in Reading. | plat hunter
12/8/2019 15:01 | Depends who you speak to. Some view him as a messiah and others see him a charlatan that got lucky being in the right place at the right time with PayPal. He's a salesman from a Victorian era, he's very good at putting on a show and spending other peoples cash. I don't rate him very much, in case you hadn't surmised lol | plat hunter
12/8/2019 14:37 | . . What does the future see in that multi-billionaire, anyway. It's not as though he's got rocket science on his team. . . | bullster
12/8/2019 14:16 | In electrical engineering, the maximum power transfer theorem states that, to obtain maximum external power from a source with a finite internal resistance, the resistance of the load must equal the resistance of the source as viewed from its output terminals. Moritz von Jacobi published the maximum power (transfer) theorem around 1840; it is also referred to as "Jacobi's law" Essentially, if Musk has cracked this 150 year old problem then he'd have his sights set a little higher than overpriced cut and shut vehicles | plat hunter
12/8/2019 14:06 | . . Plat Hunter, You've not watched the youtube videos closely enough, take note of the power storage capacity of the battery he's going for. . . | bullster
12/8/2019 13:54 | Bullster no one but Tesla is mass producing lithium vehicles... Why is that? No one wants to wait 5 hours to charge their car for one | plat hunter
12/8/2019 13:30 | Hydrogen is surely the way things are going in the fuel world. He Ho for PGMs. | scrappycat
12/8/2019 13:30 | . . When Elon Musk of Tesla says that he's getting into mining, you'd be foolish not find out where the trend is going. And it's sooner than you think. . . | bullster
12/8/2019 13:24 | What demand.. There's still no infrastructure. Nickel and Lithium batteries are very limited when it comes to electrification of vehicles. It's also not a technology issue, it's the law of physics that restricts us getting more out of them. It all comes down to how many cathodes can be stored, used and recharged. Essentially anything bigger than a estate car, can not produce enough torque for long enough to operate as efficiently as an ICE vehicle and you can't simply just add more batteries as you then have the same issue that rocket ships have, the fuel becomes to heavy. None of the energy giants are investing in charge point infrastructure, yet they're investing and experimenting in hydrogen technologies. For me, Nickel, and lithium batteries are more of a Concorde moment.. Ie "This is what could be possible" | plat hunter
12/8/2019 12:47 | . . JLP needs to get back into nickel to meet the coming demand for electric vehicle batteries. Pity we got slung off our Australian asset. . . | bullster
12/8/2019 12:27 | Meanwhile SLV looking to breach 40p. I'm not bitter and twisted over buying JLP instead, (he says through gritted teeth) | gsg
12/8/2019 12:21 | 2.83p buy showing as a sell. this just shows how weak the share price is! | deme1
12/8/2019 12:15 | Haughtonhoney 2.836p great buy. | sleveen |
