“Must be down to BMR news of the copper and gold project“. More likely BMR selling down more of their JLP to fund Montezuma’s Revenge.

Trolling - not embracing the ramping narrative. This is what we have become. Alternative dialogue or controversial approaches to delivery are now labeled as irrational. Its the same with the politics.

Could only watch Jerome Powell for a short time attempting to justify a rate cut – absolute baloney! If they gave this guy an enema on his death bed they could bury him in a matchbox. Near term, ‘they’ will endeavour to mange precious metals prices through the paper markets.

Weren't we talking about "lift off" and "the perfect storm" back in Nov/Dec 18?

Hoping that Glencore's strategic review on their Zambian Copper assets might mention what they'll do with the Mufulira tailing dam at Mopani holding 90m tonnes of tailings.

Sable Deme.... I might be way way off but i've said a few times over the last 18 months or so. Its's all down to the nuance of comoany registrations and mining levies but I think Glencore see JLP as tax efficient vehicle for processing copper.Zam gov' get people employed again at sable, Glencores tax liability is wiped clean and everyone saves face.

Thanks for that robers. I'll make a note to read their detailed plans for their Zambian copper assets on the 7th August, to see if JLP have any potential involvement.

From Glencore RNS today.

In Zambia, we are nearing the end of our multi-year site transformation projects, including plans to commission a new copper concentrator towards the middle of 2020 and the development of 3 new mining shafts. Completion of repairs to Mopani's smelter is expected by the end of 2019. Our African copper assets retain significant potential and will play a key role in the transition to a low carbon economy. We have developed detailed turnaround plans and I look forward to taking you through these plans along with our financial performance on 7 August."

niloc,

I did not say you didn't hold, so who is the bigger fool.

At least, I am a competent reader. Since you appear somewhat deficient in that regard, it is hardly surprising that the fact that JLP have been in the process of changing their business plan completely over the previous few years has escaped you. Not an easy thing to do, but you would appear to think they should have done better.

My guess is that it will not be too long now before the Board's efforts are shown to have bourn fruit.

Cantors have flipped from the offer to the bid. Usually a good sign for JLP, as they have been the dominant mm in the past. 1 v 2

I have been invested here over the vast majority of that time, and am well aware of the difficulties experienced. I very much doubt that Leon is the laughing stock of the mining industry, and recent II buying would support that view. Since it seems apparent from your feelings that you do not hold an amount of any significance, your only purpose in life here seems to be to deramp, what a sad character you must be.

on a serious note.

why has Leon not bought shares?
I know he has a load of free ones waiting for him. But if I was in his position and showing the excitement about the project that he does then yes I would buy a fair whack, just like Colin.
