If, we're looking at Hernic producing 3000 a month with Platcro set to double Hernic pgm production then the immediate pipeline is circa 72,000 ounces per year plus 5-7 million a year in chrome.

And that's without DCM PGM's or KABWE.

JLP don't actually need Kabwe to lift the share price Go and take a look at SLP if you want to see what 70,000 ounces a year does to an SP

“It will take another year at least to get to a point where they are making a decent amount”. PlatCro fine chrome was making USD $5.5m a year when they bought it. Presumably, in a year we’ll have USD $5.5m? ;-) Maybe more with fine chrome and the greater efficiencies they talked about in the acquisition announcement?

Jubilees share price hasn't risen lately because we have just forked out around £10M to buy the Platcro operation.

Not only will it provide earnings from day one, it gives us the earnings potential from chrome and pgm's for years to come.

DCM bounces back in January after robbing earnings to pay for over £2M+ in plant and lost production.Fine chrome that was blown around on the slag heap will now be swept up and sold, 12,000 extra tonnes per quarter.

What's not to like.

Group expenses are about £6-7M per year, so once that figure is offset the
earnings left over is group profit.

It's going to be our year, for sure.

Nelson..

I think Hernic would have hit 3000 a month for Q1

Then add another 2000 ounces per month for Q3 from PLatcro pgms .let’s actually see if you can corroborate your statement with some figures....but I won’t hold my breath.

Krypton can you back up your statement with figures on why you don’t think Jlp will make a profit, I mean With production figures and basket price etc...if you take our last known monthly Production Figure from Hernic of 2,500 ounces and our cost of production of let’s say 400 usd just to be safe.

Agree Goldi.. This was the most ironic post i've ever seen. Isn't that the whole point of any company... sell a story, raise capital and book losses until you deliver on it?

It's pointless trying to predict profits for Jubilees current projects. It will take another year at least to get to a point where they are making a decent amount so this will hardly reflect in the share price

The main attraction is Kabwe and you will only see a decent rise in share price when this project comes online

Another £0.8m would take us up to nearly £3m of Hernic project earnings for Q1 19, up about 35% quarter-on-quarter. Will be interesting to see how much profit, if any, they book on the pre-processing of Platcro PGMs because that's presumably enhancing the value of the tailings prior to transportation to Eland, whether the DCM fine chrome ramp up eliminates the losses that had started to be incurred there in Q3 18 and Q4 18, and whether they implement fine chrome at PlatCro straight away because that would presumably interrupt the £1m a quarter they say it currently makes. Interims are usually at the end of March but were on 7 March last year. With some much going on in Q1 19, maybe they will revert to the end of March again this year?

How quick are profits at Hernic being effected by rising basket price ?.

In this post i am attempting to calculate how much our Q1 basket price will rise so we can add it to our Q4/18 basket price.

We will never find out if the basket price we use is correct, but we can read it across (match it) to the actual earnings we officially received in the period. By keeping our own basket price accurate we can see how much it has risen and then add it back on to the official earnings figure.

The past Q4 average basket price was a little tricky to calculate because i had to allow for the $18 per ounce difference between our new and old prill split formula.
The Q4 basket was pretty calm, which helped, and i came up with a Q4 average of $1,120 per ounce.

For Q1 basket price average i will use and estimate the end of month figure add them and then divide by three to get the average.

Jan $1,185 + Feb $1,291 + Mar $1,320(e)
$3,796/3 = $1,265 Q1 average: $145 per ounce higher than Q4

Q4 basket $1,120 : pgm onz 6,279 : earnings £2,173,000 : cost to produce $320/onz

Q1 basket $1,265 : pgm onz ?,??? : earnings £?,???,??? : cost to produce $???/onz

The cost to produce figure is as important, it has the same effect as a rise in basket price per $, if the cost to produce goes down, $311/onz was the cheapest for a Q3.

You can use your own assumptions.

I will have a go at 6,279 onz at a cost to produce at $300/onz
6,279 X $165 more = $1,036,035 (£797,747) MORE

ADD ANY EXTRA QTR ON QTR OUNCE PRODUCTION RISE @ £393/onz EARNINGS.

Sorry Aces but Kabwe update late, Leon only holds 27k shares, placing coming soon is not the real bear argument for JLP so the Captain won’t be missing anything by blocking those posters. The bear argument is the Hernic business rescue failing or the undisclosed profit share kicking in and then not being able to cover central costs, Kabwe never being commercially viable let alone late, fine chrome being worth peanuts, a pathological inability to be open and honest about anything with shareholders, a track record of 16 years of making losses and £90m of retained losses proving they don’t understand numbers or know how to create shareholder value and never will. As a bull of JLP, I shouldn’t have to post a link to the Hernic business rescue February update and confirm there was no progress in the month. I feel obliged to do that because the bears on this board are so hopeless. Most are suffering from psychological disorders you only usually see at the zoo.
