Yes I bought then as well. It was an article in Money Morning that pointed it out as a play on the oil price recovering and so far a very nice return.

Am I the only one here who thought Wood Group was undervalued in FEb along with rest of the oil industry? Made some very nice gains in the last couple of months - I think shares will stablise around current levels or fall nearer the election but yby Xmas I expect +10% gains

Ridiculous valuation here, a business set to lose out on contracts, see £5 soon.

Thought HTG got their commentary yesterday on the impact of the current oil price environment bang on. Basically said that analysts were behind the curve and HTG didn't have a clue as to what was likely to happen on the order front. All IMHO.

Results out - better than I expecterd but outlook statement (imo) very wooly and politically correct speak BUT financial guide very uncertain -

"Outlook

We will continue to be directed by our Core Values. We will focus on helping
customers increase productivity and efficiency in new projects and existing
operations and extend asset lives, while recognising safety as the number one
priority. In conjunction with our focus on customer efficiency, we are also
implementing internal cost and efficiency measures to ensure we remain
competitive.

We will remain a reimbursable, asset light business with a balance of opex and
capex activities, a broad range of longer term contracts and significant
customer and geographic diversification. As we look to 2015, we expect
financial performance to demonstrate the relative resilience of our underlying
business in a challenging market and we will see the full year benefit from
completed acquisitions."

Says to me that given fall in price of oil clarity only as far as current contracts.

Do others read the same way or have I missed something.

What a bargain.......trading update on Thursday should see this back at 600p a quick 10% profit for those with balls. Still looking at 700 plus come the start of 2015. These will really bounce as the better news starts to filter through.

That it is a good company there is no doubt, just in the wrong sector at the moment. Bargain, I agree and I would top up if I had spare cash. In for the long term and divi

An absolute bargain with recent tax breaks just awarded to the oil industry......a steal at anything below 700p a good 20% profit to be made here pretty quickly I feel.
