Indeed - not sure why renewables on the ground already are not catching a bid.

UK Wind Auction Fails, Deepening Offshore Industry Troubles - Failed because of inflationary pressures and associated increased cost of capital (implying existing real assets are more valuable)

Better than money in a persistent inflationary environment.

Its better than that. JLEN is real assets which will hold value better than money in an inflationary environment.

The fact is JLEN yield does not look so attractive with risk free around 5%. Currently yielding maybe 2.5% above risk free.

A year ago inflation was 1% and risk-free return on deposits or bonds was zero. And people thought, dreadful! Now inflation is 6% and risk-free return is 5% and people thinking, that's attractive. But actually in real terms it's identical! Cognitive bias on a massive scale!

A sea of red across my portfolio, including JLEN.Any surge in energy demand or power prices when winter sets in will hopefully be beneficial to JLEN.

Today's UK wage increase numbers suggest further interest rate hikes making JLEN's yield a little less attractive. Short sighted but that is the market. I expect by winter we'll all be fretting over energy prices - but that is so far off right now.

I think Swiss Paul answered his own question here. People are no longer chasing yield so the premium went. As usual the price goes from too high to too low - who knows where that is. I have been waiting for an entry point here for a while and now bought some. Its my preferred stock in this sector because of the diversification. The glasshouse investment next to an AD plant is classy.

To my mind JLEN has always been a solid choice, I prefer not to use the word bet although there is very little difference between the two, especially in today's global Markets, where investing in them has and will always be about risk and reward. With respect to JLEN my primary reason for investing are the very attractive Dividends. As you said there is always the option to keep your money in a bank for absolute safety and peace of mind as the majority of people do.As per my previous post the above comments are made without prejudice.

Route - thanks for that. Its always been a share that piqued my interest as the 'infrastructure market' seems like a solid 'bet'.

Just surprised that the price has dropped recently and was wondering if easier (and more secure) profit would be putting it in an interest bearing account instead.

Keep safe
