Posted at 24/6/2024 12:53 by route1 Grateful for your post, after the results last week and the 3% dividend increase plus confirmation that a new RCF has been agreed there is absolutely nothing to stop the share price improving apart from the headwinds of interest rates , which when they finally decline, will benefit all sectors. |
Posted at 24/6/2024 11:51 by cc2014 I'm no chartist but we seem to have put in a double bottom at 85p ish and moved strongly away from it.I don't know how the share price got as low as 85p but I'm thinking looking at the chart that a share price between 97.5p and 102.5p does not seem at all unreasonable. Regardless JLEN finally seems to have found some oomph. |
Posted at 14/6/2024 13:44 by uapatel CC2014,Have done similar in small amounts, adding either side of XD. Thought results were good and the dividend raise is nice. So for now holding and hoping at some point interest rates come down and make the sector attractive again. |
Posted at 14/6/2024 11:03 by cc2014 The question is whether JLEN (and the sector) is turning here or it's just another DCB.Having said that I've been buying around 85.5p. Some before the dividend and some after. Having bought them and holding no idea whether this is the bottom or another DCB I further have no idea whether I should hold them or trade them out for a few points. |
Posted at 28/5/2024 08:32 by route1 I am becoming increasingly concerned that no dividend targets or NAV have been declared. The declaration date was the 18th May last year for the Q4 dividend, paid on 23rd June 2023. Now today is 28 May and so far total silence from the company.Does anyone have a view or comment on this situation.By now the Q4 dividend should have been declared. |
Posted at 10/5/2024 12:36 by cousinit I have been kicking the tyres on a few. Some seem to have reasonable exposure to power prices. JLEN NAV seems fairly sensitive to power prices, so any reduction in discount rates, in the short term, could be countered with falls driven by the power price forward curve. It does hedge 2-3 years out (like NESF) so the dividend should be protected. |
Posted at 25/3/2024 11:48 by fordtin route1 - re "where I might achieve a 6.6% yield"There are plenty of options, but be aware some companies cancel or cut their dividends when their directors and managemment screw up! Probably best to limit the amount invested in any individual company or fund to spread the risk. Dividend Yields - FTSE 100 Dividend Yields - FTSE 250 Dividend Yields - Investment Trusts N.B. "Red Yield - Dividend Cut. Indicates the company has made a dividend cut to the most recent dividend or has stated that the next dividend will be cut. This may indicate that future dividends and yield will be lower." |
Posted at 25/3/2024 08:08 by route1 Many thanks for your somewhat comforting comments.I certainly hope that they take the necessary steps to keep the show on the road. They normally announce their forecast dividend yield for the upcoming year around May, pleased that I received the expected dividend last week.I would be interested, from your comments to know where I might achieve a 6.6% yield to replace my current income from JLEN in the event of a windup. In the meantime I will hope to navigate these choppy waters and that the " show remains firmly on the road "Regards. |
Posted at 24/3/2024 09:30 by route1 I have never contemplated JLEN winding up or for that matter winding down.I have a very large holding here and as an Expat retiree rely heavily on the dividendof nearly 8% per annum. In fact I receive almost the same amount from the dividend as I do from my frozen UKstate pension.I am both surprised and horrified to read these comments about the Company, which I understand is managed by Foresight group PLC who actively manage more than 30 projects across the renewables sector.I do therefore wonder if I am missing or have misunderstood something here? |
