Hi Angus, I have 3 heat pumps in my holiday home in America. Had them for almost 14 years. And in my UK home I have a gas boiler. I much prefer gas. I love avocado. though, not for breakfast |
I suppose you have a heat pump, smart meter, EV car and you eat Avocado for breakfast. If you cannot see how events in Washington DC will affect us I the UK, I've got a bridge to sell you. |
When America sneezes, the World catches a cold. |
Please keep the politics of the united states out of this chat it has no bearing on Jet2 at this point. |
Trump - Diversity Equity and Inclusion out. ESG next. Only men and women. Suet |
angus can you explain please |
It's a very good job Jet2 didn't go down the DEI route. |
I have added a few. I think the share looks oversold here (though I do notice a similarity with the Easyjet share) The company still seems to be extremely well run and have decent but sensible growth prospects. There is still this probable overhang from Mr Meeson's near 15% holding but the company seems to be very well financed and I do like the low dealing cost whilst it stays in Aim. I have a completely irrational feeling that they might come in (a bit) ahead of forecasts for full year revenues £7.2bn and net profit at £431mn. |
Torsten Bellend wants a £40k limit on 25 pct tax free access |
winter is proving better than planned. Upgrades to come DYOR

More seats added to Turkey and Greece. Interesting given Pegasus are reducing their Turkey-UK capacity. |
Our flight to Tenerife was completely full and a good proportion had bought a Jet2 package judging from the numbers heading to waiting buses. |
In other news. Flew to Alicante for a few days last week. Both the outgoing and return flight to Edinburgh were rammed. I’ve done this same trip in January for many years. Never before has it been rammed. |
Torsten Bell joining the treasury as pension minister, he wants a £100 000 ISA cap as well as going after pensions. If I was a pensioner, I would blow all my money on holidays rather than bequeathing to the State. |
Blair and Busch destabilised the whole planet! The pair of them should have been put in jail! ... only my opinion |
Your right 007, as I said earlier people have short memories. First the big crash the greedy bankers caused then Brexit we didnt get chance to take advantage of before covid hit. Then energy crisis which is still with us thanks to Miliband, then Truss and war. There is no quick fix to balance the books with that lot. With this 1970's crew in office it's going to be at least another 10yrs before we start to recover imo. |
Some real rose tinted glasses on here. I can’t stand Labour but have you all forgotten who did the real damage? Brexit, May, Boris, Covid(PPE scandal), Truss, Sunak?? Without doubt thee worst government in my 55 years. Books haven’t been balanced since that warmonger Blair! |

So true T2T. Any responsible family man has to think and put first the roof over their head, pay the Bill's, feed and clothe the family which is pretty much what I've been saying these last days. |
The Turks have cut back on their bucket and spade routes. On the surface it should be good news for Jet2 but I do wonder if it's the first sign of demand dropping on affordability. We've all told ourselves for years now Brits want their holidays and it's the last thing to go etc. But at some point even that has to go if the economy slides. |
Great value at this level, shame I have no free funds |
