momentum buyers just as likely to jump once a few sells come in, put them away and come back in August.

This is actually a bit better than it looks, can sell volume at 183.55. 186.9 to buy.

It does not upset me, it's a share bulletin board and so the company share and all that surrounds that is the subject matter under discussion?
If I was to be equally glib, I could ask you why you get upset when someone ventilates discussion about the insanity of aim mug punters selling £5 for 186p :)

Oh, I have patience, my friend, SM is going nowhere until at least the appraisal results from Verbier are announced and hopefully at that time a 500p ticket to boot. SM is adding each time the panic traders sell it down below 190.

Best of luck.

Why are you so worried about other people's investments? If they want to buy or sell that is up to them yet you get upset about it. You don't know the reason anyone wants to sell. For me this is fantastic, please sell anyone who can as I want to buy cheaply. Drilling is months away so the sellers are keeping this at a great price.
This is probably the undervalued play of the year at the moment and I for one am quite happy to keep it that way.
s1ze - we can make some real money here, a little patience is required, that's all.

i honestly don't believe that anyone who even slightly understands JOG was in any doubt about the drilling dates, if so i would recommend before spending their hard cash they try doing a minimal amount of research.

Jog will not go up one week before drilling, like i said previous, it will just motor well before then and when you least expect it , all these lurkers will be locked out or face paying £3.
it will be breached that figure in the next few months.

in my view the MM are rising and repeating a pullback in this range to gather more stock for Schroders plc who unlike your average mug punter can not believe they can still buy at this level . funnily enough, professional investors like them are not suffering a seizure and selling on every 2p mark down, strange that!

here we go again, perfect example of what i said , a small p/i sell comes in and a cluster of headless chicken in full turbo panic mode follow likewise by offering their own £5 for sale at 188p.

I wold love for these panic sellers to explain exactly what they buy shares for in the first place if they feel on the back of all the recent news they must sell if the MM move the price down 2p.
Backbone and self belief are qualities normally missing from your normal aim mug punter!
amazing!

Small punters in small lots, the price gets marked down and they panic, and sell, hence the clusters of trades. You don't see large sells being worked by the mm like that, they don't work that way.
It would not surprised me to see that the mm's are doing the dirty work for Schroders plc, facilitating another increase in their holding. The share price action is irrational with all the all good news flow and excellent prospects and partnership with Statoil
Clearly, with a fully funded drilling program with a world-class discovery and a tier, one partner in Statoil and a bod member splashing 50K on share's, expectations of near-term bad news is not the reason for the share price action.
I continue to add at this level

it's hilarious, these people selling at 190 today could have sold at that price yesterday, so presumably they see the announcement today of the £50k bod share buy as bad news? lol
Incredibly short sighted punters here, there is not going to be an announcement to the market to get in prior to drilling, just like matd recently did in a similar position it will surge /double in a few days well prior to the drilling after staying flat for months and before you know it , you're locked out for trying to gouge JOG a few pence cheaper.

Incredible value at this price but in today's market, everything has to be today, normality will resume and i envisage holders being handsomely rewarded for blindsiding the irrationality of others.

Considering the recent good news flow, the fully funded exploration to come with statoil the previous discovery, the city institution upping its stake and now the director spending nee on £50k on shares, the constant selling at this low price is both bizarre and amazing!

Implies here that Verbier may the first of the UKCS wells in the Statoil 2018 programme and that it may not be till late in the year. Value to hope for here but not much perhaps to move the share price until then, unless of course they do come up with an acquisition.

Stonefold,

You will find more cherries with the first spoonful. Bad analogy.

In this old piece there is a remark about high pressure at Verbier, but I can't find anything more recent about that and the drills last year didn't take long so perhaps there was no problem in that regard.

The specification for the drilling rig is due to the environment in which it will operate. Depth of water, depth of drilling, power, storage capacity for fluids drilling mud ...

The rig selected has a similar spec to the previous one.

Using a bigger spoon to eat a pot of cherry yogurt does not mean that you will find more cherries than if you used a normal sized spoon.

Maybe you fail to grasp the nature of my question. It is poorly worded so I accept blame for that

My question is not about the appraising of Verbier but the type of drilling platform used to appraise

I believe the appraisal of Verbier could lead to JOG's 17% rising considerably in value. My question was about the type of drilling platform used. Are there for example, different sized drilling platforms for differing sized drilling targets, discoveries or appraisals? It's about capacity to perform a certain task and the larger the platform then that may indicate a much larger discovery. Comprende?

25-130m - low-high
appraisal - up the low to the mid - 78m
78-130m - new low-high

17% of the mid (104) = 17.5m

17.5m of P50 - say $5 for p50 = £63m

£63m for JOG's 17% and other prospects

I reckon's there's 400p here, in time and based on a successful and elevating appraisal at Verbier

put yer money on the table but be sure to understand the risks

Does the drilling platform reveal the nature, size and extent of the discovery? Just wondering
