You wont be saying ‘I told you so’ bones! They can tell very closely by reading pressures and soundings through the oil, ie echo.

Anyway, who would they be fooling with such comments they make? They couldn’t give a toss what a shareholder here at JOG thinks! So buy and make it big, or shut up thy gob?

Impressive reversal here today, have a feeling that we will see 180/190 recaptured tomorrow.

I don't disappear with my tail between my legs. Over past ten year have paid CGT. Lack of news gives opportunity for mm's to make some money; simple as that.

Cyan I'm more than happy to see the result here but like investors always do they come in here crying and moaning when they didn't listen and the share price collapses. Like the rest you will either disappear with your tail between your legs or moan like an old woman and I will be here saying told you so . Good luck but the chart isn't exactly looking good for your odds right now is it and that's before we move on to the tricky stuff

-- Evaluation of the well results, together with the existing 3D seismic data is ongoing
-- Initial Operator estimates of gross recoverable resources associated with the Verbier discovery are between 25 and 130 million barrels of oil equivalent, with a minimum proven recoverable volume in the immediate vicinity of the wellbore of 25 million barrels of oil equivalent

In addition to confirming the presence of oil in the Verbier prospect, this discovery provides valuable information to help better understand the prospectivity of the licence area, which includes the Cortina prospect and the Meribel lead. JOG holds an 18% working interest in the licence.

Andrew Benitz, CEO of Jersey Oil & Gas, commented:

"We are delighted by the positive outcome of the Verbier sidetrack. The well has achieved its objective by encountering good quality, hydrocarbon-bearing sands, up dip from the initial well with the results exceeding pre drill expectations for the sidetrack."

Jenny Morris, Vice President for Exploration in the UK of Statoil, commented:

"The results show that we made the right decision to sidetrack the well and this discovery proves that there could be significant remaining potential in this mature basin... we are convinced of the remaining, high-value potential on the UK continental shelf and the Verbier result certainly gives us the confidence and determination to continue our exploration efforts.

Cyan given the amount of time from the drill completion to the announcement I know it's not very much and your ignorance is going to bite you . Ayesha made some good points but of course your oblivious to anything sensible anymore .
Your lack of knowledge and common sense are amazing tbh . Please explain how they can know just how much is recoverable so soon after the drill without long flow testing to determine depletion rates ?????
I'll go for you can't answer because you know nothing of any use to anyone

You have no idea what testing they undertook or the geological data they extrapolated from.

I think I trust Statoil's expert judgement over yours.

Cyan never realised you were that gullable tbh . Please tell me how they etc can possibly know that without a long flow test and far more extensive well testing ?

Its Statoil who has the say here, not jog. Getting hammered, but prepared to see where we go from here.

Presumably today's weakness is a result of Ayesha unwinding his/her substantial position.

Many thanks, Ayesha, for your very valuable contributions to this board. Such well researched pearls of wisdom, we should count ourselves lucky if you decide to hold your shares and continue posting here. But alas, you say that you are going to sell. This board will be a poorer place as a result.

Hi ayesha4.
Yes, its collusion/partnership with Statoil. Without them we would not have drilled.

I wouldn't say we have nothing; We now have 18% of a minimum 25 million barrels RECOVERABLE; could be as high as 130 million barrels.

We had to raise cash to further progress our license drills and to give us the means to buy another asset.

Patience is required. Lets wait and see how they spend the cash before we slag them off.
