09/1/2019 14:12 | For those that don't keep a close eye on it, I see that Brent has gone over $60 a barrel. Let's hope it, at the very least, maintains these levels. | captain james t kirk

06/1/2019 15:00 | Yes..... but 3rd in the UK Jersey Oil & Gas (AIM: JOG), an independent upstream oil and gas company focused on the UK Continental Shelf ("UKCS") region of the North Sea, announces that it has been advised by Equinor UK Limited ("Equinor"), operator of the P.2170 (Blocks 20/5b & 21/1d) licence area (the "P.2170 licence"), that the Verbier appraisal well with the possibility of a sidetrack well will now likely be the third well in the sequence for the UK drilling campaign with the contracted West Phoenix rig as opposed to the first. then 2nd rns..... As previously stated Equinor has three wells to drill before drilling Verbier (the Ragnfrid North prospect in the Norwegian sector and the Bigfoot and Pip prospects in the UK sector) and we will notify of any change to current guidance on timing if and when advised of such by Equinor, in its capacity as operator of the drilling programme. followed by a further rns..... Jersey Oil & Gas (AIM: JOG), an independent upstream oil and gas company focused on the UK Continental Shelf ("UKCS") region of the North Sea, announces that it has been advised by Equinor UK Limited ("Equinor"), operator of the P.2170 (Blocks 20/5b & 21/1d) licence area (the "P.2170 licence"), that the timing for operations to commence on the Verbier appraisal well is now expected during Q1 2019. The West Phoenix rig is currently being utilised, as planned, on the first of four wells in the Equinor operated drilling campaign. | xxnjr1
06/1/2019 11:31 | I thought it was RNS'd that we'd be the 3rd drill, and this is currently the 1st (for West Phoenix current campaign)? | the drewster
05/1/2019 15:11 | Yes couple of boats around the rig now. | mariopeter
04/1/2019 11:51 | Thanks xxnjr1 - I had just edited my post because I checked the position! | hiddendepths
04/1/2019 11:47 | They haven't moved off the lengthy Norwegian well yet, but we are expecting that to happen any day now, as 3 Skandi rigs were recently provisionally booked for a 2/jan rig move. | xxnjr1
04/1/2019 11:35 | Cash - the appraisal well was delayed because of extended maintenance on the rig. It was then bumped down the queue because 3D seismic was shot in the middle of last year and moving the well to fourth place allowed for the early results of the seismic to be available ahead of spudding. There was one lengthy Norwegian well, finished a week or so ago and now there are two quickies in the UK before Verbier. March looks most likely. More details are up the thread. Errm, hang on! Still at Ragnfrid North? | hiddendepths
04/1/2019 11:04 | Nice to see the board busying up a little ahead of the action. Welcome to some new recognisable names. Anyone know what oilfields are being sold for (in $ per barrel) in the North sea distinguishing between oil in place and recoverable? Our range excluding Cortana, of up between 25m and 130m is recoverable......(so far). Recoverable is usually 60% of oil in place ie 60% of STOIIP. | mariopeter
04/1/2019 09:33 | Cash. Expect it to be March. If its earlier all well and good but things are delayed more often than not most of the time for oilers. | pro_s2009
04/1/2019 09:29 | I left this after the sidetrack discovery, it was an utter rollercoaster. I understand the appraisal is just a matter of waiting for Equinor rig to finish up and mobilise. Any timeframes for that folks? Cash | cashandcard
04/1/2019 09:26 | The Drewster - I'd be very surprised if HUR isn't taken over this year if the field flows as they expect it to. Take-out price around 200p - I hope! Been in it in size almost since the IPO. Just topped up my JOG a little on the (probably) small overhang from a seller. | hiddendepths
04/1/2019 09:06 | I imagine HUR could grow 10 to 20 fold if the story was allowed to fully play out over the next several years, JOG could easily treble this year alone. | the drewster
04/1/2019 08:57 | My oily portfolio is mostly HUR and JOG - scattered then with other higher risk stuff. On the basis on expected news (which is higher risk with JOG but if it comes in as expected.....) I expect JOG to give much higher rewards than HUR, simply as the upside if far higher and the shares are tightly held. That can make for explosive gains. | pro_s2009
04/1/2019 07:43 | Agree HD. I intend to let the HUR story fully play out myself, but very keen on JOG too... who knows which might prove the more profitable in 2019 as both have massive potential. | the drewster
04/1/2019 07:29 | Small but select group of posters here - in marked contrast to HUR, which now gets hundreds of posts per day. It wouldn't surprise me if at some point a few months down the line there is a migration from there with many flush with cash after taking partial profits! While the Verbier drill is highly significant, it would be great to hear about the 3D seismic, which could suggest a multiple of Verbier's currently estimated reserves on the block. I very much like the risk/reward balance here! | hiddendepths
03/1/2019 10:39 | Here here! | rayrac
02/1/2019 23:13 | I think we can all agree with your last para above Db! | xxnjr1 |
