Agreed but hey Cortina is bigger still apparently that will fill out any gaps with luck.

Also companies always give size estimates which when successful tend to grow in multiples and not successful shrink just as quickly.

It’s just how competent person reports are required by the regulatory bodies work.

So I am predicting Verbier will grow simply based on the oddities of CPR calculation methodology.

It’s one of the reasons why investing in phase two drilling after a discovery can yield decent returns. Hence why I am here.

But 400m is surely some what higher than the top end of the range of guidance that the company has suggested on a number of occasions.

If Verbier came in at say 400m with an 18% share at say $5 a barrel that’s say £280m with say 25m issued shares post options etc and a bit for other assets that’s £12 a share!

Ok this one really is leveraged because of the small number of shares.

Nothing firm yet afaik. It's on the wish list, but probably need to review and interpret the new 3D data set. Then rank the opportunity set illuminated by the new 3D, and also review next Verbier drill results, before deciding next steps, Verbier, Cortina, or otherwise. And thats just for the block itself. Equinor are in the driving seat. Whatever they do after Verbier, then has to fit into their global opportunity set. OTOH JOG may just "flog itself" post Verbier plus xxx* days.

Indeed it is just £30k of trade today added 2%.

A bit of luck on the drill and £500k of buying and this thing will be worth a fiver!

Up £1.4m on the market cap after £50k of trades not all of which were buys. That 4.5%.

Oh boy this should move if we hit some “Black Stuff.”

King Lear discovery was between 15 and 70 mill barrels recoverable when found by Equinor.

Sold as recoverable 77 mill barrels (with another 100 m potential). It was gas/condensate so not really comparable on price per recoverable barrel.

Thanks for the update.

Also, the fast track 3D data should be available now and they will have had good time to study it prior to drilling.

This delay, whilst annoying, will actually likely ensure a much better appraisal result.

Yes, JOG shares could be worth between 300p a share to 1500p a share.......

Thats why its very exciting with the appraisal well, a good one and the shares fly, and add on of course the potential for other leads with the new 3D.

New year time to buy, but as I’m substantially holding, I’ll leave it up to you guys? :)

SP mighty appealing at the moment, even considering further market volatility. These are defiantly a window of opportunity if you have 6-12 month time horizon

According to original schedule of 81 days - only 4 days to go.
I think this will overrun a bit (the small fire on rig, weather related delays, Halten Bank wells usually overrun, and just stuff!)

The Drewster - first well was scheduled for 83 days and spudded on 3rd October. It may take longer if it encounters difficulties or finds something unexpected.

The other two are planned to be quick but I agree that Feb/March is best case while May would hardly be a surprise.

Shouldn't matter too much - at least the seismic shot last year will be pretty much fully processed ahead of spudding, which may well be very helpful for the drilling and improve the chances of an optimal outcome.

I nearly added this morning. One more day of weakness and I won't be able to resist!

July RNS said we would be the 3rd well (anticipated mid to end Q4) ... November RNS slipped expected date to Q1 2019 ... Wet Phoenix is still on well 1, so surely Feb/March best case?

West Phoenix is self propelled. Travelled under it's own steam, as was a relatively short distance from the fjord it was in, to the RN well location. Phoenix also has dynamic positioning - although could be anchored for RN, as only 278m Water Depth. It didn't look like there had been a re-spud, up to the time I last checked NPD, which was a few days ago.

According to schedule - only 11 days to go.
There could be a bit of extra time though.
(not unusual on the Halten Bank with deep wells)
