11/5/2008 15:01 | If the Mars Anomalies are interesting, then take a look at this one. Again, official photo from the official site of the Mars Rovers. Go to the following photo, save it, then use a good zoom in software and concentrate on the lower left hand side of the photo.......see a skull there ? . | papalpower
11/5/2008 14:45 | Another "Mars Anomaly" to follow on from the earlier one. Again, this is from the official web site ( ) and is an official photo. Arthur C Clarke referred to this as "evidence of vegetation" "what looks like Banyan Tree's". Take a close look, as whatever they are, they are casting shadows........ Proof of vegetation on the surface of Mars.........99.9999 | papalpower

11/5/2008 13:37 | There is indeed, sadly they allow others to mock them when they get commercial offering T shirts, cups and whatever. Now you can understand a little bit of commercial acumen in order to cover costs, but sometimes it goes too far perhaps. Its the ideal cop out for many disbelievers.......t However, the subject does require much more discussion and thought than some give it, some of the theorists go into very strange idea's on what its all about. The basis for the selection of the date 21st Dec 2012 is the very real, and very undeniable fact that the Mayan Long Count Calendar finishes on that day. | papalpower
11/5/2008 13:19 | Absolutely bactuns of info for you here PapalPower..... ..and get the T-Shirt... | philmiboots
11/5/2008 13:13 | To conclude: The Mayan calendar does not predict the end of the world on Dec 12th 2012. The exact date of the end of the current Mayan Long Count is still a matter of debate amongst Mayan scholars, although it is likely to be around Dec 21 2012. The Mayan calendar is cyclical, and there are names for cycles longer than 13 bactuns of the Long Count which are coming to an end in 2012. Even if the Mayans did believe that the world would come to an end at the end of the Long Count (which I don't believe is true), there is no reason to assume that they have any special knowledge which would allow them to make this prediction correctly. You are free to believe the Sun won't come up tomorrow, but it will anyway.... The fact that the winter solstice on 2012 is "aligned" with the plane of the Galaxy has no significance. It takes the winter solstice 700-1400 years to cross the plane of the Galaxy. The solstice last year (2005) was within 0.1 degrees (or 1/5th the size of the Sun) of where it will be on 2012. The Sun crosses the plane of the Milky Way twice every year with no ill effect. | philmiboots
11/5/2008 11:46 | Will this affect the olympics? Would be bloody typical...England host, chance to win more medals and the blooming world ends! Dagg nabbit. | stegrego
11/5/2008 10:32 | Indeed, I remember the "Mamooths" that were found frozen in Siberia which had "fresh vegetation associated with equatorial regions" in their stomachs, frozen along with them. It does and did point to the fact that at sometime in the past the crust of the earth could have slipped on its molten core. | papalpower
11/5/2008 10:22 | There was a theory that continents have been lost such as Mu recenlty found beneath the Indian ocean (the myth of Atlantis) also another continent that was found on ancient maps that is currently hidden by the polar ice cap and that an ancient advanced race of people did indeed have aeroplanes as they have seen them in cave drawings. There are lots of theories but little hard evidence. The other theory which is interesting is not the impact theory but the theory that when the planets align in a certain formation or when the dwarf star passes it causes such a force that the earths crust moves on it's molten core, one explanation for the fact they have found huge amounts of frozen animals and plants in siberia which shouldn't be there, did this cause the continent that was shown on ancient maps to move and be hidden beneath ice ? one things for sure I have travelled throughout mexico and saw first hand what the mayan people achieved and they definately weren't stupid, like the pyramids in Eygpt these are aligned to constellations and even take into account precession | rocking elmo
11/5/2008 10:20 | Anyway, back to the "brown dwarf" theory. I have mentioned "Planet X" theory, this is held by some and is detailed clearly in the photo's below which they believe is going to happen. | papalpower
11/5/2008 09:46 | I would be very interested to know if Global Warming is a reality of carbon emissions or its due to some other cosmic event thats happening. As I said earlier, some parts of the world are getting colder. Some are getting warmer. Its known as "Global Warming" as Europe/US is warmer....but other parts of the world are seeing a cooling effect. So its not really Global warming as such. "Global Warming - Carbon Emissions" could be simply a guise for which its easy to hide the changing effects of the global climate, which may be being caused by something else. Its the old "mind control" medium. Give the public a cause "carbon emissions", give then an effect "global warming", give them an answer "be good little green bunnies" - and they now have cause, effect and solution. So no matter what happens, they will blame all this funny weather on global warming, and be happy that they are doing something about it by their recycling. But what if its not coming from carbon emissions........... Thats the question............ | papalpower
11/5/2008 09:30 | waldron, thanks. Its nice to use and test the old grey matter from time to time. I find it all very interesting. rocking elmo, thanks for that, yes, there are many themes of the brown dwarf, being Planet X, Planet Nibaru, the "Nemesis" etc.... I think scientists are now coming around to the fact that indeed its far more normal for a solar system to have 2 stars, and very rare for there to be just 1 star. The fact that brown dwarfs are not visible to the naked eye or a telescope until very very close (and only visible at distance through infrared telescopes, a technology thats only recent and its why so many systems are now being re-labelled binary star systems) has been what has influenced astronomy for a long time, and of course the fact we "appear", so far, to only have one sun. Is that all going to change ? Who knows. | papalpower |
