Wise words bmcollins,
Don't know if you have noticed but I'm a glass half empty kind of a guy. haha

@tenapn, Old market saying "it's never as good as it looks, it's never as bad as it looks", normally it is a reliable piece of advice. |
Not withstanding the neverending FCA investigation - trump's on/off tariff s and market nervousness over his policies are finally bring some much needed volatility. Add the continued high interest rates and Jarvis should be sat on a sweet spot. Such a shame we are where we are ..... in the gutter. |
Is this yet more evidence of overreach by regulators. It seems there is no end to the shifting of goal posts in the Financial Services Industry akin to the damaging zeal of Net-Zero fanatics. I'm all for regulation to prevent bad practice in the industry, but this seems like some sort of crusade to enhance the standing of the FCA and the aspirations of its leadership as they further widen the net without completing work they have already started. They seem to forget that since extensive de-industrialisation, financial services contribute a major portion of the UK economy and they could kill the goose as foreign exchanges and financial companies circle.
"FCA restricts SEI from taking on new clients. The platform technology provider and custodian has also been blocked from launching new propositions, products or services. As at the end of 2023, SEI Investments (Europe) administered about £61.8bn according to its full-year accounts." |
Ex dividend tomorrow. |
Good to see a bit of buying interest here the last few days. Taking a long term and optimistic view this may be prove to be good timing for those with a fair appetite to risk. The dividend announcement last week was a big positive that profits are still being made imho. |
Hi John, Jarvis may submit but I have no faith in the skilled person to push on. So I'm guessing it will be into 2026 before we finally see a resolution.
Quote; It is anticipated that the majority of this additional remediation work will now be completed by the end of the third quarter 2025. The Skilled Person will then review this additional remediation work. Further updates will be provided as appropriate. |
Haha, steady on tenapen, don't get too excited. The climb back begins, shares take the lift going down but the stairs back up, the saying goes. The decent dividend plus trading figures and interest income in the annual report might help a steady rerating. |
@Babbler If it pays 1.5p for the next 3 quarters as well as this that is 6p, which at 40p is a 15% yield or at 43p almost 14%. |
15%? 1.5p....... |
Don't panic - Don't panic
Good to get a dividend but better to get a FCA investigation update even if it's looks like going in to 2026.

Thurs 27th Feb Ex-Dividend Almost yielding 15%, if maintained. |
Pleasing to see a divi & even more pleasing to see it better than last quarters payout. Let us hope that we have seen the nadir, but we need certainty from FCA for that to happen, they are shockers, & tend to shock on the downside, sadly... Still today is better than I was expecting, tbh. |
For Private Frazer, aka tenapen. |
I bought a few at the bell. Good to see Tenapen putting his usual positive spin on the announcement. End of the 3rd quarter, not end of 2025 my friend. Unless you have a crystal ball that is. |
Dividend increased back to 1.5p quarterly. |
COMPANY UPDAT - can it really take the rest of 2025 - GROAN
At least we know. |

Hi Evaluate, That sounds interesting - let's hope so. Jarvis should be smashing it just now with high interest rates and a bit of market volatility leaving us looking forward to a special dividend. But no .... the share price is down the drain while other brokers / wealth managers are flying high. So disappointing. Here hoping it's good news but even bad news would be a relief after all of this silence, at least we would know what's happening.
Thanks. |
There's appraently going to be an update this week. |
And there lies the problem .... for me ..... But Manor from heaven for Grant / Jarvis to do what the .... they want .
If a crusade is a quest to find an answer why after 126 weeks since Grant told us the FCA were investigating Jarvis we the shareholders know less now than we did back then, i.e we knew who the 'skilled person's was, not now. |
ten - what is a 'yes'? You just carry on with your crusade and let us know how you get on. I'm too old to care much. |
