So, is there anything beyond the vague statement on benefitting from an increase in interest rates to say what average interest rate JIM expects to achieve... ...LIBOR?

Sorry then, I've got a cold, kept me awake all last night and brains a bit foggy. I must have registered wth them previously. Using the link from the Jarvis page above (2603) should let you register and read. I just checked my phone and the page is different with a pull down menu to access the "sign in/sign up" box.

I can find it easily enough, it just won't let me access it, unfortunately. And that's even after signing up and it says I'm logged in as CWA1...

Failing all that, there is a link on the header above the blue six month chart "Broker Views" which isn't visible on the phone. Which is why I tried to copy the link. I think the link on the last post should work though.
Then click the signin / sign up box.

MJ

Could not access the report without trying to get authorised as a client, which seemed unlikely.

Did they give any indication on the average level of interest currently receivable by them and how this has changed in recent months? Is it linked to LIBOR?

Thank you, Martin

According to the house broker latest 10Aug:-
"We note that historically JIM has been a beneficiary of a rising interest rate curve and this is an additional factor leading us to revisit our fair value assessment, as of this morning standing at 400p (was: 350p)."

To read the whole report, go to the above and give an email address, you will get a login link by return. When logged in click on companies on the menu bar.

I did think that this had got a bit ahead of itself but amazed that we have pulled back nearly a quid from recent highs.

Not cheap on p/e terms but surely a bargain compared wioth its peers? Anyone know how management would react if an opportunistic bid came along?

There has to be a sell off before the Santa rally. How else will the city boys get their bonusses. Good for the JIM turnover as you say tenapen.

I think you'll do well Squinty. L2 shows bid is 4000 at 285. offer is 2000 at 290. That usually means MM's want your stock because there are buyers lined up. This is a market maker stock, so they're the only game in town. No algos messing about.

Tenapen,
I'm told by someone at Jarvis that the market makers (aka retail service providers) can ignore electronic quotes when it suits them. According to L2 most of the action with RCDO is automatic trades from other participants such as institutions adjusting their holdings using algorithms. Sending you a PM.
