Anybody please know a good way to see daily market trading volumes... ...presumably low for 2022 until the invasion of Ukraine started?

A lot of small, retail sized, trades this morning first thing. Has some suggested "sell"?

Sadly, we can now expect considerable volatility for many months, which is greatly to JIM’s benefit.

Welcome back steelwatch.

:-)

I think the results are good. Just a shame I spent my money and added a few before today, in anticipation.... Dh'o.

Both WHI and wealthoracle (who the heck?) both talking nonsense.

Neither are taking into consideration current circumstances arising since Christmas.

Jarvis Securities plc posted FY21 numbers this morning. Highlights included a 12% increase in PBT, 9% growth of EPS and 22% growth in interim dividend per share. The business has been growing consistently for the past decade, net profit and EPS have grown in all but one of these years as well. Profitability ratios are top ranked for the sector, the balance sheet is strong. Valuation is average, not a constraint on further upside, but also not particularly helpful. The share price has been trading sideways for 12 months and lacks near term momentum. All else points to a solid, small-cap retail and outsourced financial services provider going in the right direction, but not particularly cheap. One to monitor for the time being....

And yet WHI have today downgraded 2022 forecasts. Hopefully the dividend provides a reasonable floor for the share price

Good news I get more shares in exchange for the dividend.
For every 30 shares I originally bought I now have 163

Solid results, as ever. The tailwind this year will be interest rate rises. £4.5m of their turnover is interest receivable. If that doubles, say, sometime soon...happy days!

Mildly disappointing announcement overall with a cautious tone-but should be solid over the medium/longer term. Interest rate increases should help next time. HOPING they've been punished enough by the market. As a result I've taken a few this morning. In for the long term I suppose :-/

Anybody able to put a figure on what happened to their market share last years.

Commissions & fees were up by double digits, but what happened to the market as a whole last year?

Seems like a strange share price reaction, if people are viewing "increased costs" as an unexpected negative, where have they been over the past year?

Typical market reaction on results day though.

What i like about this company is that it has a very simplistic and easy to understand set of accounts and business model.

We already have enough information to know that H1 of the new FY will likely also show further growth due to the two most important criteria to the company of rising interest rates on cash held and healthy levels of trading volumes.
