Haven't poured over the results with a fine toothcomb, but on the face of it, they look stonking to me - along with the divi hike and the proposed bonus share issue...

I just unloaded some of mine at 662p.This may turn out to be a bad decision , but it has been such a good run recently that I reckon a retracement must be on the horizon somewhere.
Time will tell.

Some small Buys have just gone thorugh at 665p (with some 635p sells - the MMs must be happy!) and the bid /offer has gone up to 675/645.This is impressive inflation - is something in the woodwork here , or just the usual confidence?
I am tempted to sell some here, but was determined to keep holding.Not sure now.

How's the sale of Karndean / Polyfloor going at Victoria Plc, if it's stocked? From your website, your company has recently moved into the luxury vinyl floor market.

Goldman Sachs had us down for 30 gold but i think 28.

I hear Halstead supplied most of the flooring, and that Mr Boyle recreated Radliffe in the stadium.To be fair he was born in Radcliffe - wonder if he knows it was local Polyflor around him

Pre-close Trading Statement

"On track for another record performance"

James Halstead plc, the commercial flooring manufacturer and distributor, is providing the following trading update prior to entering the close period ahead of its results for the year to 30 June 2012.

In its interim results statement issued on 29 March 2012, the Company reported first half year trading was very solid with record revenue and record profit. In addition, the Chairman, Mr. Geoffrey Halstead expressed confidence that the Company's performance would continue in a similar vein for the rest of the financial year.

Overall, this confidence was well founded and the Company has continued to trade solidly in very difficult global conditions.

Taking the above into consideration the Board is confident that the Company will report another year of record revenue and record profits for the year ended 30 June 2012, in line with market expectations.

Must have been the time they were 504.5p on the offer. There was one parcel of 600 shares, which someone snaffled from under my feet! As my broker was about to lock in, they were bought by someone else and the offer shot up to 540p!!
Ah well.

Only a couple of weeks ago, the Offer price was down to about £5.00 very briefly and I missed the opportunity to get in for a few more.

I regret that now, although I suppose it depends what the pre-close statement tells us.

Some Buys at 530p this am - a new record high .Again.
Just wish I had bought more.You never know , a buying opportunity might present itself if the market tumbles again.
