27/8/2008 19:14 | Here is how its done ... MPH Master RSI - 27 Aug'08 - 11:18 - 4550 of 4560 | dumbarton2

27/8/2008 10:22 | Noon the market disagrees. Have you taken away goodwill..I suspect not. The high st is in dire straits most retailers getting worse imo. | dumbarton2
24/8/2008 12:27 | db2 I would suggest that nobody kwows if it is heading for a new low. However if you look at the annual report only released this week you will find that net assets ( page 46)are £ 35,491,000 with distributable profits (page 8) of £10,679,00.Nett assets equate to 18p per share, and on a p/e of say 9 earnings of 2p that equates in total to 36p per share. The company has had to do alot of house cleaning over the previous 5 years,I believe that the last dead rabbit has been pulled out of the hat. I suspect that profits will be in the region of 6 million next year. I also believe the management to be excellent, and as such,I am please to hold these shares. | noonrush
22/8/2008 10:17 | Heading for a new low. | dumbarton2
15/7/2008 14:46 | I bailed here today for a tiny profit. The shares were a good buy at 9.35p at the end of April and I was hopeful of good things, but unfortunately the world is a rather different place now to back then. Clothing sales are very poor right now and high operational gearing (Gross Margin) works in reverse when sales are falling. A cheap share in a reasonable retail environment but not today IMO. | deswalker
09/7/2008 12:59 | The Indie rates a sell: One bit I dislike: "...won't be too impressed by the group's full year results showing pre-tax profits falling to £4.32m, after reaching £19.89m last year..." This includes the exceptional credits and is misleading, but the company is to blame for this - it quotes operating profit and post-tax profit without exceptionals but not PTP - they should have known that this is the line that most reporters want to quote. | sharw
08/7/2008 11:52 | .....and the share price has performed well given todays background. KAUP hae been on the 'bid' for weeks and 90/- have just gone through @ 9.75p. I think they are an Icelandic bank,,,,,,,,,,, still picking up stock.?? | omerta
08/7/2008 07:42 | Results out and I'm happy with them. Currently trading at TBV, £2.5 mill net cash and throwing off free cash very nicely (EBITD = £6.3 mill on an EV of £17.2 mill). Sales since 26 April are 6% down on last year but gross margin is slightly ahead. The share price is less than half of last year though. A long term cash cow. Obviously not a good buy last year at 25p but a very good buy down here IMO. | deswalker
06/6/2008 14:37 | John lewis sales fall yet again for the 4th week running... | dumbarton2
05/6/2008 10:25 | Well AXN have done OK | doowle

31/5/2008 10:02 | John LEWIS SALES FALLING FOR THE LAST 3 WEEKS AVOID . | dumbarton2
27/5/2008 12:15 | My word that chart tells a tale. I am expecting things to get far worse here. I have a price target of around the 3p mark. | partridge2
22/5/2008 08:18 | A small anecdote. A friend of mine owns five womenswear shops. He says that after a torrid March and April, it has turned completely on its head and he's having a very good May. Make of that what you will. | deswalker
16/5/2008 00:54 | PAV 1, thanks for that. As I say am new to this stock and it's good to see that there are now 3 MM's on the bid @ 10.5p which is a pointer supporting your view. | omerta
15/5/2008 15:10 | omerta, the little tick up earlier on in the day on 0 volume meant a large trade was going to show up later , which it did. short term expect movement back up to 14p level barring any bad news.at this level is cheap, and with better weather this summer compared to last year, results should be o.k, so i expect steady rise nothing too dramatic. but do your own research | pav 1
15/5/2008 01:29 | CR ... I expect you saw that 100/- go through @ 11p timed 16.28pm albeit a delayed trade. Interesting.! | omerta
14/5/2008 21:35 | Creeping back up bit by bit CR | cockneyrebel
14/5/2008 21:24 | PAV 1 ....what price is the chart showing for a 'short term rise'? Thanks O | omerta
14/5/2008 14:52 | little tick up, chart looks good for a short term rise | pav 1
10/5/2008 14:50 | yes thanks, on both. LWB tipped today in a tipsheet - also massive volume yesterday, a breakout and a reverse head & shoulders - worth being long imo. CR | cockneyrebel |
