You will appreciate my liquidity on the morning of the next (unannounced) trade update ;-) |
Thanks for continuing to increase your short position - we appreciate your liquidity! |
Another chunky buy back today to be announced later.
You can see the 12k-ish iceberg orders on the bids on Level 2 driving the price up until the US markets open.
As soon as they are done for the day the share price then drops off again (Today following the same path as yesterday)
Every little rise is a gift to short into at present. |
If Elon wants to cosy up to Farage and get in to politics, what better purchase than the biggest uk broadcaster to get their message across. It could never happen though. Could it? |
Dont say that JonnyLittle, he may just make a mistake.Btw, dog poo is much more stinky than pig's, haha |
Funnily enough thats what Matthew has been telling you and your other handle jonny for 3 months...rampers and cretins abound |
Great post BigEgo. It's quite astonishing how many folk on here don't understand how buybacks work and start bawling their eyes out because they just don't get it. Greater future EPS due to decreased number of shares = proportionate rise in share of profits due to incremental rise in dividends. It's not rocket science! |
...and people are using it to deramp? Are you a total tool? All you do is ramp.Any idiot can see the price will come under much more pressure when the buy back stops - apart from you that is. |
Itv business is very well positionedDeserves a better valuation |
The post by BigEgoADVFN hit the button and I am personally pleased that today's buy-back was at a high level and at such a good and sensible price to take volume out of shares in issue. The corporate decision to use it's strong cash generation is a positive and we should be able to hold the 70p level going forward. I may add a few more as an arranged marriage with Netflix (market cap.$390 billion) is always a possibility. Something is surely afoot as the pressure on our CEO is growing and a number of alternative ideas to extract an improved outlook for shareholders is definitely a possibility in the very near term. Just my view. |
Huckers Post 10209 Blimey. 5m shares repurchased. And the share price still tanked!
Tanked?
Down 2.39% - I've seen far worse for what would be a proper tanking. |
Well I hope they complete it all by end Jan'ish at the best possible prices.
People are already using this as a means to try and deramp the price I notice 'oh the buyback funds are running out' yawn.
None of us can predict the future and there's as much reason to expect another buyback or a special dividend or whatever as there is not to expect such things.
So frankly I'm happy it ends then I don't have to keep extracting all the RNS data ;)
Its achieved its objective. Shares in issue have fallen by a useful percentage (7% to 8% predicted), and that's increased the proportional value of our existing holdings, and increased our share of future dividends.
Job done. |
Bit surprised it has come back that strongly. I wish I understood the parameters of the buyback. |
Huckers, todays buyback volume is more than the sum of all the buyback activity since 29-Nov inclusive... good! |
Hah! Nicely done Morgan Stanley...
The volume today on Yahoo was about 6 million when I looked earlier, so wasn't expecting much.
Then buyback popped - they scooped 5 million and volume on Yahoo now shows 12 million!
Scoop them up while the market is napping. |
Blimey. 5m shares repurchased. And the share price still tanked! |
Bobdiamond, dont blame ITV. Blame the previous government and the shambles that are now in power..
No American Idiot...The Govt don't cast ITV shows! We are being led to believe that the average UK family unit is four different skin colours, four religions, two LGBQT members, a blind, deaf mute, a disabled member and is covered in tattoos.
Not my world and not many others live in this weird place that exists on ITV.
Of course Dame McCall is at fault, she has been an awful CEO who has done nothing but bad to long suffering ITV shareholders. |
