08/4/2003 10:35 | I hold these my concern is the cancellation of shows and the general decline in marketing stocks - these have held up so well. Why have the directors been selling when their trade statement says everything OK - Any feedback would be appreciated | ryanstella
01/4/2003 00:07 | The 1st USA Trade Week scheduled for December 2003 at Expocentr, Moscow has been postponed due to the war in the Middle East. US companies have been reluctant to invest outside of their existing markets and commit to an event of this nature during these uncertain times. Stephen Keen, the Event Director, says, ''We apologise for any inconvenience this has caused and are extremely disappointed that the decision to postpone has been necessary, but we feel it in the best interests of both the event and our partners that this action be taken at this time''. The 1st USA Trade Week was designed to offer participating companies the most comprehensive and cost effective method of entry into the Russian and CIS market. The event had the full support of the US Department of Commerce, the US Commercial Service, the American Chamber of Commerce in Russia, the US Russia Business Council and BISNIS. Stephen adds, ''Postponing the event is regrettable, given we have invested a great deal of time and effort in the project, believing it would be a successful event that would offer US companies an undeveloped opportunity within this particular market''. The event will be reconsidered for scheduling, should circumstances significantly change in the future. | nirvs
15/1/2003 13:34 | 37.5p for the 2nd time in the last few weeks. Perhaps it will break through this week. | riverdiver
03/1/2003 11:10 | It will in the next few days.. | aveston
02/1/2003 16:17 | Results been and gone, price dropped on a little profit taking but soon bounced up again and the buying continues. Hopefully will break 40p soon. | riverdiver
10/12/2002 08:40 | I turned my monitor on this morning and was quite dissappointed, the convention of opening with the price up seems to have gone today:-( Never mind big day tomorrow with the results. Would it be appropriate for any takeover speculation to be confirmed as part of tomorrows annnouncement? | hterag1
08/12/2002 22:58 | Thanks for that DQ....I pay for citywire and they can't even get the name of the paper right. Amazed to see a prediction of 47p to 52p seeing that a 70p placing had been taken up by Veronis Suhler and VS & A. (42.9 mill shares) I can only guess that with all the stock they picked up in 20p-30p range they would end up with a tidy profit. 52p would give me 100% in 6 mnths so I can't really complain but I was hoping for a bit more. Guess we will find out in the next week or two if there is any truth in it. Bloody miffed at wasting a quid on the Express. RD | riverdiver
08/12/2002 22:00 | Think you bought the wrong paper riverdiver. It was Mail on Sunday that had the story under Taking Stock column. I have only just spotted it myself: "Tipsters suggested an offer will come from an American rival and is expected to win the backing of Veronis Suhler, a New York-based merchant bank that owns 20 per cent of ITE. By the end of Friday, some traders were predicting a bid this week at between 47p and 52p a share, which would value the company at between £130 million and £144 million." | doubleorquits
08/12/2002 17:32 | According to Citywire there is speculation of a US bid in the Sunday Express. Bought the paper and unable to find it. | riverdiver
07/12/2002 00:44 | The article cda refers to is in today's Guardian: In the smaller companies world, there was a late flurry of interest in ITE, the emerging markets exhibitions company. Dealers reckon the company has received an approach to which ITE's 20.1% shareholder, the US media-focused investment bank Veronis Suhler, will give its blessing. One theory is that the approach is an all-paper merger. ITE, which is scheduled to post full year figures next Wednesday, gained 2p to 35.5p. | doubleorquits
07/12/2002 00:39 | Just KLWT left on 36.5. | steadyeddy
07/12/2002 00:15 | I see Mister 250k is back. | steadyeddy
06/12/2002 16:31 | DQ Over 75% already held by institutions & directors must make it difficult for tracker funds to get on board. Veronis Suhler, V & S, Fidelity etc have been busy mopping up whatever they could lay their hands on over the last year and I'll be surprised if any of them offload at this point. As you said. could well be some press speculation this w/e. Looking good, thats for sure. RD | riverdiver
06/12/2002 14:53 | Could be an interesting few days coming up. A lot of things could move this stock (either way) - tracker funds buying for FTSE Small Cap entry at next review (and then a settling in period when the price could fall back), good or bad results, takeover speculation boosting price or rumours being unfounded and stock falling. At the moment it is difficult to see what the volumes are which are driving the stock i.e. are they based on one, two or all three of the present action points. I would not be surprised to see some more speculation and comment in the weekend press - might even see price jumping in the last hour today. There is certainly enough news or impending news to fill a small column without any real, definite knowledge - I think I could even manage that! | doubleorquits
06/12/2002 13:17 | Seeing that Veronis made a 70p a share placing it must be pretty confident that the merger would be in its best interest. Assuming that the rumour is true. | riverdiver
06/12/2002 08:56 | bid speculation is reported on citywire's newpaper round up! | cda
05/12/2002 17:52 | Sure thing RD, this one has been a long time going sideways. Lets hope the results give a better support to the share price. | hterag1
05/12/2002 14:41 | Not trying to tempt fate but it looks like our patience is beginning to pay off. | riverdiver
05/12/2002 14:26 | Some good 250k buys going through today. | steadyeddy
03/12/2002 00:51 | Looks like more falling into the hands of institutions, perhaps the MMs are having difficulty meeting the orders. Could be an interesting couple of weeks. | riverdiver
02/12/2002 09:41 | Thanks hterag1. I missed the discussion - I'll reread it more carefully next time. I'm not sure I buy the reason though. The small sells always seem to have been snapped up in larger lots. | truffles
30/11/2002 10:00 | Truffles; ITE was one of SCSW naps for 2002, i thought it odd that they suddenly dropped it from their portfolio in their last issue. They did comment though that there was nothing wrong in them dropping the share. Funny thing since they said they were ditching their holding theres been a lot of continuous daily small sells. Current buy volumes are not spectacular enough to have moved the price over the last week or so therefore i can only conclude that the MMs are rising the price in anticipation of the Dec 10th announcements. | hterag1
29/11/2002 15:57 | And its up 1.5p now | riverdiver
29/11/2002 15:56 | Checking through company announcements it appears that about 75% is held by institutions and directors. The report by Investec Securities forecast £6.8 mill in 2002 and £14 mill in 2003 leaving it on a p/e of 8. For anyone interested this is the link. | riverdiver |
