Sell off in energy shares I think and profit taking. Orsted down 7% or soemthing.

Plug up 11pc yesterday but share price down 3pc this morning? What's bringing us down today?

I think it is general profit taking in renewables. Not reflective of any long term impacts but just a bit of profit taking after a good run. Last week was such a good run too! I has been considering taking a profit on Friday last week. Ah well, I think long term this is sound.

Big call that, I bought some BATG yesterday, as couldn't buy CHRG with iweb. Still holding this, all blue today.

Ive just chucked 20k into CHRG, thanks for the heads up Shav.
Ive been in and out of INRG for the past 12 months, staying out now but switched over to the Battery play as its just what ive been looking for.

Jumping way ahead of NAV this morning. Reason is a very big deal by Plug Power (biggest holding) to produce H2 kit in South Korea for sale throughout Asia Pacific region. Plug Power rose by 40% in after hours trading in NY overnight.

Yes, the Trend is definitely our friend today. And what a smooth path since March. Can I mention CHRG (Wisdom Tree Battery Solutions ETF) as a very good stablemate for INRG? Almost no overlap and good coverage in hydrogen, lithium mining and battery developers. New last August and matching INRG for performance since then.

Thames - the great thing about this share is that is exactly 'on trend' for teh post covid development of teh green energy economy. THis will involve staggering levels of capital investment across the globe in wind, solar and hydrogen.

The beauty of INRG is the combination of both geographical and technological spread of the holdings.

UKGov Energy White Paper out today. Lots of hot air and good intentions but overall very positive for clean energy. Anything to do with energy storage and hydrogen is the place to be right now. Plug Power (PLUG) is the biggest holding here and is running well. For even more focused storage cover I also hold CHRG and BATT

There's maybe going to be a massive increase in renewable energy, and a major downturn in fossil fuels.
For maximum efficiency, then storage capacity is required on a massive scale so there's less reliance on gas fired power stations which can ramp up fast.

Maybe things like Tesla home power bank.

I think that the very clear message here is that this share is going to be a big beneficiary of a Biden presidency. Onwards and upwards!

Keep in mind only 40% of the holdings are in US based companies. Much of the rest of the world is spending on Green energy. Remember that Trump is the exception here...he is the only one not signing the big international agreements on carbon reduction.

Saying that .... if he is replaced it seems highly likely that investment in the USA will increase.
