ELO
Chasing Cars
Jump (curenty fiddling around with the synth solo)

I can be more precise when I've looked at them all.

supernumerary, i like a bit o' sitar.

a band i used to listen to years ago, [courtesy of john peel] suns of arqa, combined sitar and dub beats very successfully. they sampled the amstrad 'wordy processor' man, stanley unwin.

wolt, nice toyota. the honda ss2000 was also nippy. was the side panel on for cleaning mud off the inside of the front wheel arch? ig, i like the spare wheel idea.

melin, what tracks are you going to practice?

Lovely looking machine ...£250,000 is a tad out of my league !
The more you look at it , the better it gets ...just love those wheels , really sets it off a treat
Wonder what the square panel on the front wing is for ?
Bristol used to have one , lifted it up & the spare wheel was located there !
Clever stuff

Alpine was Dr No, yes?

my mate used to 'collect' them, but now he has a Jensen, amongst other stuff

my fave Bond car is the 1967 Toyota 2000GT

but with an asking price of £250k, I'll have to raincheck....

Had an Elan S4 SE ....not the most reliable thing on 4 wheels ....fibre glass body meant the electrical earths could be a bit suspect .
Fantastic little car all the same !
Handling was incredible

Aye Bamboo , there was and is something about those 1960's sports cars ...
Had a few in my time MGB's etc ...would love an "E" Type but would very comfortably settle for an Austin Healey 3000 .
All so ruddy expensive these days , if only we had kept a few in the garage ...darn sight more fun than a Pension Plan.

Mind you , that Alpine is a good looking machine ...hardly ever see them these days , was there not a "Tiger" version that had a 4.7 litre V8 under the bonnet ?
That would have been a handful , more I think about it , I believe the Police used them ...rather dated by modern standards but sure they had a bell on the front !
Happy Days !

ig, a friend of mine had the fiat 850. a bit sporty i seem to remember.

at the time, 1979,80,81... i was lucky enough, although i didn't realise how lucky at he time, to be driving a very low mileage sunbeam alpine series V. drophead coupe, with a decent radio/cassette,[!] hifi speaker wired up in the back for the bass. sad, but i sometimes long for that time again.

probably me, or maybe just my age, but modern vehicles seem so characterless... a lot more reliable though.

what car would i have now i wonder, if money was no object?

Bamboo , do you drive a Ferrari ? There is one around Hertfordshire with the plate that reads Bamboo 2 ..have seen it at Rye House Kart Track a few times !

Wife took son to The Royal Albert Hall last night ...Roger Daltrey performimg Tommy in aid of The Teenage cancer Trust, wifey said it was truly exceptional , son loved it despite not knowing Tommy too well.
The highlight that absolutely brought the house down was when Pete Townshend came on to play a song or two . The place erupted !

lol that Stevie Nicks tribute is hilarious. Used to be a big fan some years back now and still listen to and enjoy the Buckingham Nicks album which I consider to be somewhat of a forgotten gem.

The Universal.-
This is the next century
Where the universal's free
You can find it anywhere
Yes, the future has been sold
Every night we're gone
And to karaoke songs
How we like to sing a long
Although the words are wrong

It really, really, really could happen
Yes, it really, really, really could happen
When the days they seem to fall through you, well just let them go

No one here is alone, satellites in every home
Yes the universal's here, here for everyone
Every paper that you read
Says tomorrow is your lucky day
Well, here's your lucky day

It really, really, really could happen
Yes, it really, really, really could happen
When the days they seem to fall through you, well just let them go

Well, it really, really, really could happen
Yes, it really, really, really could happen
When the days they seem to fall through you, well just let them go
