Merlin - you would have enjoyed BB more @ RAH Tuesday night - obviously at his age he has to ration it a bit now but he was clearly having some fun and the special guests were goodies - Derek Trucks (always supreme) Susan tedeschi, Ron wood, Mr Slash (he sure can do a BB solo & the tone was nailed) and (ahem, who thought this was a good idea?) wotsisname from Simply red.

hi merlin, ig., a few of bb kings' tracks were good, but it was overall, a disappointing set. the best thing about it was that it was a 'live' transmission, i absolutely love real live tv.
morrisey was lacklustre, compared to the mumfords on the other channel at the same time [both live performances].

U2 was a real surprise, definately the best act of the evening for me. very engaging, and i wasn't tempted to channel hop, despite the fact that the bbc made us follow the live transmission over three different channels.

looking forward to paul simon on sunday.
btw gagas not playing glast this year.

I must admit that I was very impressed by Lady GaGa and her band when they aired the BBC radio concert on TV, and, depending which outfit and hairdo she's wearing, yes I would.

Glastonbury starts friday. [tomorrow]
there should be some great live performances on bbc tv/radio.
just listening to the start of coverage on bbc radio.
quite odd that bbc have radio 1,2 and 6 all transmitting the same programme at the moment.

Anyway youngest offspring decided to see what happended to the camcorder if it was left recording whilst falling to the floor.......... Camcorder RIP.8-(
Tried not to lose temper, did pretty well in the circumstances.

I'll get around to it someday, need a few investments come good to afford a new camcorder 8-)

Just got a Line 6 Spider iv 75 and so far I am impressed with the modelling plus the clean sounds are realistic. I'm using my Variax 600 so I have an excellent variety of sounds available. I'm using the Variax as my Strat has been lost in the post by City Link when I sent it off to a luthier for a new nut(the BF tuning system).
