This is excellent news-the acquisition de-risks the project and gets one the best chance of buying at the bottom.
Stocks need a catalyst.
Interesting to look at the existing Definitive Feasibility Study projected Profit after Tax (PAT), and compare pro rata to this deal.

Cracking deal, bridging the gap between now and the 15W delayed smelter being commissioned. Surprised this has not been reflected in a stronger share price today. Can still buy below mid-price.

jailbird absolutely - but this deal does change things. I bought back 500,000 at 3.4p which I stated also in the last 10 days and because they were at a big discount to what I had sold at as financing was tight. It probably might explain the fall and the upcoming financing for it.

Can't see them wanting to put this deal through by end of the month if not.

The land lease for the building of the 15mw smelter is the main delay.
They will be raising finance for this deal in some way.
It will give them 21,000 tonnes of production so if the (42,000 tonne) 15MW smelter still goes ahead which they are planning for in tandem, then their capacity will be 50% higher than the original plan.

Zengas I read your posts well but you surprised me last 10 days. You changed your view in a week and bought back in - which you allowed to do but nothing has changed in that period .

License is not guaranteed by Q2Not in their hands.History to deliver targets is not their strong point . Too early to buy in for me. ' expected' is a word commonly used when they really do not know yetGoing concernThe Group's present resources and existing facilities are only considered adequate to meet committed overhead expenditure for the period to 30 June 2017 by which time the Directors expect to have completed the full funding of the Project (the High Purity Iron, Vanadium and Titanium project located on the Northern Limb of the Bushveld Complex in Limpopo Province, South Africa owned by the Group). The Group announced on 6 October 2016 that they have received approval for a ZAR244m funding package for the Project and were in the process of executing formal funding agreements. The Group is also in advanced stages of negotiating the remaining debt agreements for the Project. Overall a ZAR 871m financing package is proposed.

You could swap SA for UK there and you wouldn't be any further away from the reality.

What a shame. SA has so much potential, being destroyed by corruption and greed.

Well, JW will be under water on his November purchase but I am sure he knows what he's doing - even if I don't.

The sooner Zuma goes, the better.

You've got to join the dots a little here and the fact that JW moved funds from KENV to here maybe is a little hint that things will soon take off. On the other hand maybe GC fell out with him and this was a way of getting him back.......

11 million market cap, 324 million shares in issue and only 400K shares traded, which is a high volume day on here apparently.

I think it's safe to say that this is an extremely illiquid investment and share price will be a very exaggerated version of performance.

Nipped in to see if there was any progress, it appears not very much.

Still waiting for the placing, once funding has been finalised, to maybe take a nibble. Looking at the price now, maybe there will be an opportunity before then. Don't have a target though, not sure where I would feel comfortable.

As Underhill says, very high risk and rapidly becoming a binary bet. Certainly won't be taking the kind of position I held back in at the beginning of October last year... a bit scary thinking back to it. Paperwork/permits holding the company hostage, where have I seen that before ;-)

On the positive side, even though we all know GC doesn't subscribe to the same concept of time as we do, he does tend to deliver... eventually.

I won't be adding here at present. Getting concerned now that they are having troubles raising the finance. Only time will tell but will not be suprised if the share price continues to fall. Should the price drop to 2p I will add to my holding. This now is purely a very speculative investment. This is now looking very high risk. Nevertheless the selling volume of shares has been very small and that is the only comfort I can take at present. Hopefully good news ahead although by the end of June cash will be running out should the finance not be forthcoming.

Yeah, I know the feeling. Been there with others, thinking I'd found the bottom. They'll get there in the end but I suspect govt departments aren't working as they should right now.

Unfortunately I haven't just spoken too soon - I've been topping up way too many times over the past two months.Hope it gets better, although with the downgrade and politics I doubt it will in the short term

Spoke too soon there, sabz. Another clunk down. I don't suppose the political situation in SA is helping much.

Vatnabrekk, I know what you're saying, I used to hold JLP in fact it was my introduction to here. But Clarke & co know it too and they have either lied or been naive for a couple of years, but even so they have put money in recently and I imagine they have an idea of the support they can expect re funding, subject to certain conditions.

It has been very frustrating, copy and paste RNS's time after time and Clarke is infamous for his shallow regard for investors' interests but to me it seems it may be genuine this time. I hope so because I added today.

Paleje, the problem is that we cannot be sure that the DMR will do what they promise. JLP put in their application for a permit in 2011 and only got it two or three weeks ago. Ironveld have been expecting to get their signed lease for at least 18 months. I will watch this with extreme caution.

To fresh money looking in, this is starting to look like bargain time. Directors paid higher in last placing, Clarke was doing the rounds earlier this year presenting and sounding out finance, says it will be sorted by end June. 3 months isn't long for new money to wait, I appreciate LT holders may well see it diifferently.
