Looks a strong buy after yesterdays big buys.
Someone knows something just like they did with Great Western Mining when they bought a load at 0.04p a few days before todays huge announcement.

Ladeside. You posted
“What annoys me is the "usual suspects" who spend so much time "researching" for negatives to post when they don't even have any interest here”

Firstly, it is up to the BoD not to give so many reasons to stare at them thinking you either haven’t got a clue what you are doing or you are skimming the PIs, and
Secondly, based on the first, why would anybody actually hold a position and invest. No rules saying you must lose money to comment.

Hope that clears it up.

Lakeside,

I didn't think it was.

Hope everyone had a Merry Xmas and will have a happier New Year once Ironveld finally get a successful and adequate funding away.

My take on the last few news items is that they were negative, but were a sign of JW clearing the decks. Let's hope he has the vision and the ability outside of geology to deliver.

My "rant" wasn't actually aimed at you Al, as I do generally find your posts both pretty balanced and informative even if it's not always what I like to believe.

What annoys me is the "usual suspects" who spend so much time "researching" for negatives to post when they don't even have any interest here. They also disappear when we have the "up days" (granted that's been few and far between).

The comments and accusations aimed at the board here is pretty much a read across for every BOD on AIM, it's also a struggle to find anyone in profit these days who chooses to invest as opposed to trade.

Basically we are where we are. Those of us invested are banking on a decent funding deal being pulled off and those sniping from the sidelines think it's a contrived pipedream, that's about it in a nutshell.

If they're right we lose and they gloat, if they're wrong we win and we'll never here from them again, there will be no humble pie being consumed and they'll just go and annoy people elsewhere, still if that's how they get their kicks then what more can I say.....

As predicted:

Material uncertainty related to going concern

We draw attention to note 2.2 in the financial statements, which indicates that the Company is in the process of negotiating a significant funding transaction with a financial institution in South Africa, which has been in process for a number of months and is expected to be concluded early in 2024. At the date of approval of these financial statements those arrangements are not yet committed and this represents a material uncertainty in relation to the Company’s funding arrangements that may cast significant doubt on the group’s ability to continue as a going concern. Our opinion is not modified in respect of this matter.

Financing will only postpone the inevitable unless a new project comes in alongside it.

The difficult geology of the Northern Bushveld (reason why it's rarely mined if at all) makes the titanomagnetite ore uneconomic to smelt. Lots around and not being mined. To have gone full-steam ahead in buying a smelter (rather than transport ore to 3rd party furnaces, then a cost-benefit-analysis to assess the viability of using their own) now looks an unwise business decision.

The CEO here had a track record of woeful operational decisions at Rainbow Rare Earths
and after packing bags there the company turned around with a new project and strategy.

Heard it all before so many times. Believe it when I see it. Looks more like a pump ahead of another keep the lights on placing - seen plenty of those so many times too.

This is the third Christmas in a row that major and desperately needed funding has been expected in Q1.

PS if the loan does finally come through (they have been trying to get funding ever since the DFS in 2014) then it would have a significant effect on any DCF so TPI are talking out of their hats by maintaining their previous calculation, but TPI have talked out of their hat many times in support of their clients - it is their job to get placings away.

It does however confirm what I said ie a major loan is essential for the survival of this company without it it withers and dies.
