                               Additional Listing


Application has today been made to the UK Listing Authority and the London Stock
Exchange for 112,852 ordinary shares of 1p each in the Company ("Ordinary
Shares") to be admitted to the Official List and to trading on the London Stock
Exchange's main market. These Ordinary Shares are being issued on behalf of the
IQE General Employee Benefit Trust.


Admission of all the Ordinary Shares is expected to become effective on 2
September 2003.
