04/4/2018 23:52 | New iphones to have gesture sensors. Now, genuine question, is this likely to be VCSELs or some other method? bloom.bg/2JlVEPs | runthejoules
04/4/2018 20:46 | That could be it. Would be awesome if apple announces something like that. US markets completley bounced. I suspect tomorrow may be good for IQE which is why someone big was buying furiously at 113p. I think this drop could be very temporary. | thecrunk
04/4/2018 20:33 | could this be the mass market product that was mentioned in the TU . It filed patents that show an AR headset for the iPhone, assembled a secretive AR/VR team, and hired Virginia Tech professor Doug Bowman, one of the top VR experts in the country, to lead those efforts. It added new depth-sensing cameras and computer vision chips to its latest iPhones, and showcased some AR and face-tracking features with its Animoji feature for the iPhone X. | grity
04/4/2018 20:17 | Macom up over 10% , should give us at least 5% tomorrow. | grity
04/4/2018 18:56 | I have reviewed the order book today. There were a high value of settled trades on the buy side where the bid price was 113p. Huge demand at 113p there was someone with deep pockets at that price level on the bid. Most did not settle at 113p as offer much higher. First day of new tax year is Friday not this Monday FYI | thecrunk

04/4/2018 17:08 | Adejuk: "i'm getting fed up with this the can keeps getting kicked down the road 9 months to get back to last high - if we're lucky" Why do you say that? from Feb 9th to March 8th share price went from 89p to 1.49 and now we are getting closer to the commissioning of the new machines and closer to tomorrow's jam. You do not need to worry but do need to be patient. Regarding the ISA season comments above, what I do think is significant is the end of the tax year tomorrow. Many in IQE were sitting on a sizeable and taxable profit and selling here can mitigate that tax liability and buying back in in the new tax year. It may explain some of the selling!! | bocase

04/4/2018 16:29 | I’m staying put also Crunk! That link you posted gave a detailed and interesting breakdown of the Analysts’ assessments, none negative. All the same I think I prefer to read about what IQE produces. My limited understanding of H&S formations is that the pattern is only confirmed if the right shoulder dips below the neckline and there is no bounce back above it, in which case the drop is likely to be of the same magnitude as the central “head” upward movement... so I didn’t think 120p would provide support but doubt it will go below 100p (unless Trump remains resolute over trashing the US stockmarket!). I hope the correction doesn’t turn into a full rout but suspect that the quality of IQE’s future earnings (and RNS announcements) are likely to prove resilient in the longer term, but I am no investment adviser, nor skilled investor, don’t take any advice I may offer now or henceforth! | hoverflyman
04/4/2018 16:25 | Inchpractice: Yes I have noticed the same. There is an aggressive seller but when it gets down to low levels a significant buyer jumps in. This can be seen clearly on the 1 minute chart. | bocase
04/4/2018 15:55 | I agree bocase. I am a cat on a hot tin roof because I don't like 20% volatility in 7 trading days with no change in fundamentals of a company. NASDAQ seems to be taking trade war in its stride today. My short term concern is: 1- People don't know that IQE have nothing to do with intel chips. 2- Usually the most easily replaceable person in an organisation is the FD (if he is good the organization should not be reliant on him as an individual) So you have someone playing games with the share price. A new hedgie shorter, I hope it does not last. | thecrunk
04/4/2018 15:47 | There is an aggressive seller trying to push it down at the moment. No doubt a hedge fund shorting and trying to take advantage of the sad situation of Phil Rasmussen's death. Total Scumbags. | bocase
04/4/2018 15:44 | Alas chart is talking 60p to me. Don't think I am picking on this share, I think the whole market is on the edge of a big correction Rich | prokartace
04/4/2018 15:36 | Good for you squire and crunk. If it is any comfort the price rallied from 89p in early Feb to 1.49 in early March and if we do make a low around here that would make a pattern of higher lows and suggest a rally up to around 160p (check the daily chart) but we do need help from over the pond. | bocase |
