TR-1 Holdings notice this morning comes from the Railways Pension Trustee Company Limited held [?] by BNY Nominees Limited
It contains the line, "RPTCL's total holding has increased as a result of IP Group's share buyback program." The holding goes from 15.33% to 16.01%
I have an idea that if the shares in treasury aren't cancelled, then there is no reverse dilution [concentration?]. Anyone know? |
I'm guessing the magnetic gear coupling balderdash swallowed several rounds of funding before being quietly shelved? I imagine some of the projects over the years could have made a lot of material for a few comedians, though, no ? |
And just like that, I was out for 40.2p. Just trading, I always felt the underlying investment prospects were well dodgy. What happened to the chewing gum, I think they made a few bob off that, no? |
Bagpuss, it'd be nice if we got a TR-1 here!
Will the co. cancel the shares held in treasury? |
Novo helping themselves to a bit more Nanopore.. |
Vol. 36.5m approx excluding any late reports tomorrow. |
Looks gay, I'm in! |
Yes - don't rely on Edison or IPO to have a handle on the timeline to any accuracy better than 6 months. |
I'm bored, lets speculate! Pure speculation, but, Remember Istesso was approached in Jan 2023 to be merged / taken over by a SPAC. At the time it was said a valuation of ' several hundred million' was seen likely. (Sky news) Since then there has been more progress and news. Maybe the delay over revealing results is that new negotiations have reached serious levels! With 58% IPO has the vote. Management's desire vs buyer. Again pure speculation. OK, I'm dreaming. Other ideas? |
Answer is probably NO, but if UK Gov really wants growth and new industries there is a chance IPO could be a beneficiary as Gov encourage capital into British Deep-Tech for the med-long term.
For sure we will not recreate another Apple or Meta but there are other areas we can have a lead in and it won't be house building. New industries needed based on science, not servers. |
It's weird ofvthe back of multiple days > 3 month average daily volumes. Still few if any 3% holder change notifications. |
Volume 33,000,000 shares traded, as of 12.00 Wow! That's serious volume Something's afoot! |
This is one of the weirdest situations I can remember. Volume, price level vs NAV, general stuff. All weird. |
Perhaps Edison were wrong on dates? |
Maybe a mixed bag and trying to understand the result. |
It should have read out by now. IP will know what's going on. |
Edison set the expectation that Istesso’s Phase 2b trial for its lead drug Leramistat (MBS2320) in rheumatoid arthritis would read out in H1 2024. The study completed in Jan 2024. The Phase 2 trial in idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) is also underway and expected to complete in September 2024.
Unfortunately just a waiting game until Istesso is in a position to annouce results |
Have to ask why the selling and is it related to some entity having a problem and needing to cash out now?
So many things moving all at once. |
Assuming I am reading the rns correctly, it's interesting to see that yesterday, before buyback started at approx 9:08, approx 400k had already been bought.
Also out of a total of approx 6m traded IPGroup bought 940k, suggesting that there are others buying down here. |
Fair comment - but these markets are very unforgiving |
Although you could argue a bad result is already in the price. |
Yep. That's my worry... See earlier posts. |
