03/4/2022 15:42 | There's no harm in discussing it, it's relevant and discussing the possibly is not pointless at all whether it happens anytime soon or not. | bountyhunter
03/4/2022 14:31 | bountyhunter31 Mar '22 - 19:21 - 758 of 766 0 3 0 If Putin does cut off Europe's gas supply tomorrow where is the gas price going to end up? ...Seems unlikely, but first thing that would happen would be to address demand....heavy (industrial) users would either be shifted to interruptible supply, or simply told to shut down operations........ pointless speculating about something that probably isn't doing to happen any time soon. | thegreatgeraldo
03/4/2022 13:20 | In the UK apparently ministers have ruled out energy rationing which probably means they are considering it but don't want to spook people. | bountyhunter
03/4/2022 07:42 | pineapple1 on the SQZ board picked up this also below yesterday: | tonytyke2
03/4/2022 03:47 | Only the Express is reporting this. No where else even some hours later is picking up on the story. | jojaken
02/4/2022 17:40 | Does look like a couple of sources, highlighting that the Gazprom gas supply is now cut. No doubt will become clearer in the next 24hrs. | tonytyke2
01/4/2022 22:19 | Today and every day they dig a bigger hole for themselves. Some people still have the luxury of a fixed tariff and so are unaffected by the increase in the price cap for the time being, although the numbers are dwindling with so many fixed rate providers having gone bust. Back to IOG where the longer term chart is looking surprisingly good despite the management failings. | bountyhunter
01/4/2022 22:13 | Well they would bang on about it today. It's the first day of the new price cap and everybody's bills will be heading stratospheric. Just cheap political capital. | fardels bear
01/4/2022 21:06 | Labour are still banging on about a windfall tax securing Boris's position for the next two years. Discouraging investment in developing UK gas production to replace the 5% imported from Russia is not the answer. It would be a better idea to increase taxation on foreign imports to offset the energy crisis for those most affected. | bountyhunter

31/3/2022 14:26 | I can see from your link there was zero flow for three days and agree it is now back on. | itsriskythat
30/3/2022 20:10 | According to where I'm looking the flow is back on. Only 3 days down.... hxxps://mip-prd-web. Search: Beach and IOG Daily flows. The units seem correlate with 10,000 CM/d (wish I'd checked b4 the close!) | officerdigby
30/3/2022 18:15 | Not a bad day for IOG - and oil & gas shares generally - distrust of Putin? | bountyhunter
30/3/2022 08:57 | Interesting, even IOG could end the day blue? A complete shutdown of Russia’s gas supply to Europe is now looming as a possibility, with G7 nations refusing Vladimir Putin’s demand to pay for Russian gas in roubles and Moscow insisting it will not export gas for free. | bountyhunter
30/3/2022 08:42 | Gas price going to be higher for longer. There's a disagreement between the Kremlin and Germany, as well as other "unfriendly" countries, about payment for gas being made in Roubles. Germany refuses to pay in Roubles and Gazprom says it can't supply Germany for free. | itsriskythat

30/3/2022 08:21 | All other gas related shares in the header are up or unchanged today leaving only IOG down! Maybe the price here will pick up when Southwark drilling has resumed. | bountyhunter
29/3/2022 13:34 | So Q4 22 which probably means Q1 23 in reality, but the market has most likely factored that in! Despite the setbacks which have become par for the course, on balance with the initial flow rates slightly ahead of expectations (and disregarding the few days outage of Blythe which may come back to bite me!) I topped up earlier @37p. Gas prices are still high and we know there is no hedging, yet. NPB spot 262.50GBP CHANGE 16.73(+6.81%) | bountyhunter |
