Amazing.

It almost sounds bullish and not the usual balls up to be expected from these sorts!

It looks like we are breaking out again on that.

Loitering about the inflation hedges appears to be working.

(Famous last words!)

All imo

Wow, shows the appetite for North Sea gas at the moment, drop Gazprom one day and shortly after BP extends to the gas from Phase 1 and Phase 2 development. Great stuff.

Ed.

Lol, yes I suppose it's not out of the question that first gas could be announced in the next 35m! 😀

That's killed 10m!

Another little step up in the price while I've been waiting so perhaps it will be today.

Alxo,

See CB7s post from last night. That's a more realistic volume. Companies don't bring on wells at their maximum flow rates to prevent reservoir damage and over-production. It'll be about well management, I'd be quite happy with startup rates of 60-70mmcfd.

Regards,
Ed.

Blythe and Elgood combined produced 103mmscf during the flow test, 50% for IOG. The initial flow will be somewhere very close to it, but a rapid decline will start until it stabilises, that data would be in the company's well models, but the uncertainty will be high. I was told by the company that they will providea forecast for the future production levels after the technical team has analysed the data from the first days online.

On 4/3/22

Andrew Hockey, CEO of IOG, commented:

"I'm very pleased to say that the onshore Saturn Banks Reception Facilities (SBRF) have now been fully commissioned and pipeline backgassing has started today. This is the final step to First Gas which we expect in approximately one week's time."

So could be any time tomorrow! 11/3/22

I won't be holding my breath but news of first gas tomorrow would be a nice surprise!

On Monday morning analyst Daniel Slater, analyst at Arden Partners, issued his latest research note on this UK gas and infrastructure operator, upon news that pipeline backgassing at the group’s Saturn Banks had got underway, thereby enabling its Blythe and Elgood fields to come onstream and producing and then selling gas.

He stated that it was great news, especially at a time when gas prices are at historic levels.

Slater is going for the group to score £182.1m of sales this year to end December, producing an EBITDA of £169m. His price objective is 47p a share.

On the same morning Jonathan Wright, a director of research at brokers finnCap, issued an even more bullish note on IOG. He declared that the company ‘has an important future role to play in helping secure UK domestic gas supply.

His estimates are for £221.3m of revenues this year, giving an EBITDA of £206.5m, generating £181.1m of adjusted pre-tax profits, worth a stonking 29.2p of earnings per share. Accordingly, he has upped his price aim from 48p to a very healthy 66p a share.

With its shares at around 41p the group is valued at only £214m.
