Florence

If you know him well enough he can achieve in one day more than what some can achieve in a month.

He wouldn't be back if he couldn't do the job.

Madchick obviously gets the angle I'm coming from.

Having seen the way Mr B posts so freely, as say he is not backwards in coming forwards. Knowing his declared interest to get any under 50p, don't you think it's tad unusual for him to stop posting completely. If he still has the belief then a bargain beckons in his eyes.

I don't think for a minute a few trolls would put him off posting, he doesn't seem like the type that would shy away from anything at all.

There are some factors that would prevent him though, so going on his apparent character and the current circs, it's a fair bet.

I know what I would do in his circs and with his understanding of the company.

I think the issues are short term in nature i.e. over the next few months and we can find ways around it.

Next year won't be an issues, so still possible to do 8p EPS next year. Cash flow needs managed for now.

A working capital facility might be part of the solution.

As a fence sitter for some time I wish I could contribute something useful. My concern is that IOF has several kitchen sinks, or at least refits the kitchen regularly then chucks it out of the window again.

Looking at the share price today I see IOF as a great opportunity to buy, obviously if you bought at over £1 you may feel different, a bit of a punt, its the aim so obviously!

Scaranouche or should I say 8trader etc etc. If you keep buying at the rate you are you will soon be forced to make an offer for the whole company - lol

I wonder whether, while we are posting, Mr B has been on the phone to the company, talking, understanding and possibly doing something about the situation.

Of course, he may just be enjoying his holiday.

At this market cap, the company is really vulnerable to a low bid.

AB have inside information, surely not? He stated numerous times he was buying on fundamentals and would do so again if the opportunity availed itself which it now has.

No, he's probably a bit chastened or had already sold before last weekend if he really did have insider knowledge!!

I think superg is hinting that AB has "inside" information and so can't post in case he gives away anything, particularly if AB knows anything about financing which would then impact his ability to buy (or sell) or say publicly why he is or isn't buying/selling or how he feels about his last purchase.

Florence, thanks for pointing out my omission on the shareholders list yesterday. What makes you think that Lance is not as dynamic as he was prior to his illness?

I don't understand how AB could be 'gagged', he is not a director so he can say what he likes... of course he may have been advised that it would be unwise given his previous statements...

SG1 - How on earth could AB be gagged and by whom?

I suspect (unless he posts) that he is effectively gagged and would no doubt love to load up at these prices.

It can be frustrating for him probably watching posts about his absence unable to reply (if that is the case).

He doesn't seem to be the shy type, or one to turn away from a fight (quite the opposite) so my guess is gagged.

Super, with respect I admire your optimism but all we keep hearing are lame excuses
whilst the stock has been devastated, and now we are relying on Lance, who is not as dynamic as he was prior to his illness,I for one wish he was.
It just shows how inept the rest are.

Hi cyberbub,

The H1 2013 Admin Expenses at $2.613 million included $680,000 in depreciation charges which is of course not a cash item. That's how I got to the figure of $1.933 million that I take to be direct cash expenditures, or roughly $4 million for the year.

No idea but guessing funding news with results, might also explain Mr. B's silence (although he could arguably be talking to his lawyers regarding a class action as his bravado of recent obviously makes him look really silly now - fairly sure he's genuine though?). On past form, any placing will be at premium to todays price and I suspect that's why yesterdays awful news was not released with results? It really is back to square one here for me and the only positive for me is LB back in 'charge', it's just a question of whether or not he can clean up this awful mess?

Yes it's a good point for new arrivals, and I would assume the same on any other share where I saw chaos.

I was lucky in managing to speak to IOF yesterday in all the chaos and calls they had. I did raise that fear point and I'm more than happy with the reply.

I also mentioned the last rns v the current one. Io4/5 purring along then 9 days later, no purring along.

It's all down to the detail and quality of the management. With io3 never heard of before delays came up re a brine sign-over delay.

Then io4 came with a delay re a regulatory permit ??

I suspected the io3 and 4 circs were down to incompetence

Next the contradictory rns news, which it now seems was due to incompetence. A case of checking the frack schedule it would seem as detailed in the rns.

Had the original CEO not fallen ill we wouldn't be here. He is back as chair and with a duty to ensure the bod are operating correctly and up to the task. So it's a pretty easy call to take a stab at what is coming next.

One thing the old CEO (now chair) did was to stay very tight on costs. Not a bad idea for a business really !! So expect excess baggage to be dumped in short order, and the repair tape out in quick time.

Other than for a pure gamble, I'm not sure why anybody would touch this with a barge pole until financing sorted?

Deanrobert thanks for your in depth insight there. If you knew the slightest thing about IOF you would know that results are due tmrw so directors can't buy...
