29/1/2014 07:16 | they got the message "We look forward to steadily increasing production as additional plants continue to come on line and we look forward to updating the market on production levels on a quarterly basis" good update. | orslega
29/1/2014 07:12 | tsmith2 possibly that Numis knew the seller and held back the operations RNS until they had finished selling yesterday. The board have listened "we look forward to updating the market on production levels on a quarterly basis." | ![]() captain_kurt

29/1/2014 07:05 | Operations RNS released "The Group was encouraged by its first external raw iodine sales in January and will continue to market raw iodine externally as production increases from new plants. January sales for the Group are as planned and order activity is promising." Now what did the bears say? We wouldn't be able to sell our Iodine LOL :@) | ![]() captain_kurt
28/1/2014 22:26 | I had a good read, the engineering stuff could be as simple as a query over water loss efficiencies etc. The common theme stated was that it wasn't rejected and that investors don't understand the water process. I know some probably had, or have eyebrows raised re the letters of intent to buy water v other means of agreed supply. That is the way every permit has to follow, letters of intent type agreements, it's to do with water laws. Whatever happens Sandbag, Skylite and I are off over there to dig the pipe trenches, in cotton wool covered boots, to defeat the wet ground rule. We were to take S Mo to do the beer run, but that may backfire. Now you see why I say all the hard work is done pre application, besides the water rules and law, there is the small matter of land lease agreements and rights of way with any land owners, and gov land like roads, plus all the legal that goes with that. Once all done, then permits can be applied for. | ![]() superg1
28/1/2014 21:25 | Sg1 that's opened my eyes and just shows how much work Iofina will have had to do to secure a successful application on water rights. Not surprised there is the odd design issue to resolve which I have wrongly criticised them for! Iofina must be on a massive learning curve and if successful then credit to them plus they will as a result be more knowledgeable to ensure more successful future applications. Guess this is just the start on a non core business that proves very profitable with massive potential that the market has not fully recognised yet. Fingers crossed this Thursdays meeting goes well and we get a positive update from Iofina soon. | ![]() bobsworth
28/1/2014 20:43 | Bob (I think it was you) The law re who can apply for a water permit, plus the engineering design rules 36.12.1801 PERMIT AND CHANGE APPLICATIONS - BENEFICIAL USE (1) Water may be appropriated for beneficial use: (a) by a governmental entity for the public; (b) by a person for the sale, rent, or distribution to others; or (c) by a person for the person's own use, unless provided otherwise by statute. (d) or for other person's use, according to law. 36.12.1707 PERMIT APPLICATION CRITERIA - ADEQUATE DIVERSION MEANS AND OPERATION (1) The diversion works must be capable of diverting the amount of water requested to accomplish the proposed use without unreasonable loss through design or operation. (2) The diversion works must conform to current industry design, construction, and operation standards. (3) Wells must be constructed according to ARM Title 36, chapter 21, subchapter 6. (4) The applicant shall describe how the proposed system will be operated, from point of diversion through the place of use and on through the discharge of water, if any. (5) Preliminary design plans and specifications for the diversion and conveyance facilities and the equipment used to put the water to beneficial use must be submitted including the following: (a) the proposed flow rate and volume design capacity; (b) the expected overall efficiency, including diversion, conveyance, and system efficiencies; (c) the proposed diversion schedule, such as number and timing of irrigation sets; (d) system design, construction, or operation features which are intended to reduce or eliminate adverse effects on other water rights; and (e) the flow rate and operation of diversions must be described. | ![]() superg1

28/1/2014 18:58 | Down the road Bob but that's why Halliburton wanted to get 50% ownership of the Atlantis aquifer. Gordon Brown sold off gold cheaply because he couldn't see what was coming. Bakken wells need maintenance water too, to clear salt, then reworking and so on, the 3 forks will kick in and currently they predict 30,000 plus wells. Good old Bob Shaver (The ND water god) predicted about 3 billion gallons for 2013, it ended up nearer 5 billion last time I looked. Completely irrelevant near term, but the likes of Boggle's friends with a long term view, a potential hidden gem. 10% of the Atlantis source could supply the entire Bakken for over 20 years, if someone exploited it, would own the water stored in the river, subject to the discharge permit increased rates. 30k bpd currently, and I believe the Fresno will take 500k bpd in storage capacity. Sea water desalination in the US looks to be about 10-20 cents pb Atlantis water has 5/6 times less salt. | ![]() superg1

28/1/2014 16:11 | It would be good to see updated photos of IO4-6, the last photos are about 2 weeks old and as that is the length of time required to get the towers in place, I bet they look much closer to completion now. At least they have generators for the power and the brine supply infrastructure (well most of it) installed due to adjacent plants, so hook ups should quick. Have they started on the foundations for IO7 yet? | ![]() bogg1e

28/1/2014 15:08 | Bob The Atlantis aquifer has low level gas concentrations, not of commercial interest as the gas price dropped. That is why IOF got the leases cheaply and a shed load of 3D data. They could offset costs against each other, gas iodine and potentially water. There are other levels of gas like the Niobara, then the oil levels lower down, like the Exshaw, Nisku and 3 forks. Obviously plan A has become the higher ppm 3rd party deals, but that acreage with drilling east and west is a potential nugget in the making on various fronts. I will be keeping close eye water rights being fully appropriated in ND over the next year or two, if that happens and demand continues to climb beyond the supply rate, IOF are sitting pretty on that Atlantis source, discharge permit and rights swap circs. Most don't get that bit, they have iodine, gas, and water potentially for sale for one level, there is already a water pipeline and pumping station (wall corner) in place. | ![]() superg1
28/1/2014 14:58 | The 'unfounded' fear landscape can all be changed very soon with the right newsflow imo Where are we with the plant builds.
