I don't post much as have nothing to add to the excellent research already posted - Like most, I am disappointed but not dismayed at the moment and took the opportunity to add this a.m. - The knockers don't bother me or my investment and usually the 'idiot' posts are just ignored. The smarmy posts from those that claim to know better but actually know nowt are just slightly more annoying.
Would take the opportunity to wish all a great Christmas and a prosperous New year. I hope those sitting on paper losses will reap their rewards and those on real losses have a better time in 2014.
Feliz Navidad y buen Ano Nuevo!

SG thanks once again for all your excellent research in 2013.

Thanks to your excellent work I bought in sub 40p big time and topped up again as funds became available. Also been part switching from Iofina to QFI since the the IOF summer lull and looking to part switch back pending news. Looking forward to 2014 and seeing Iofina finally deliver on their 2013 business plan and more!

Happy Christmas Everyone

Had a quick read and it's amazing how conspiracy theories can run riot in the minds of individuals.

Hence my posts in recent months of fearing investor behaviour, more than I do a business.

The FT had it spot on, too many PIs, and the fear crew feed off the panic mode

It's been mentioned many times about the risk of over-gearing but some choose to do it. Scrut does and openly admits it, but I've never seen him appear blaming everyone else for his own decisions.

Water news is comforting to some degree as it is clear, if the rns wording is right, that IOF have responded within the 15 days for it to move to a meeting to discuss the issues raised.

The key point for the 15 day notice period is this, some have covered it-:

If it is determined that one or more criteria have not been proven and the DNRC is unable to modify the application, the DNRC will prepare a draft preliminary determination to deny. The applicant will have 15 days to contact the DNRC in order to schedule a meeting and offer additional information as to why
the application should be granted. If the information provided is adequate, DNRC will create the preliminary determination to grant the application and the application will move to public notice as discussed above. If the information is not deemed adequate, a preliminary determination to deny will stand and the application will move to our Hearings Unit and a show cause hearing will be held if the applicant does not withdraw the application

The DNRC clearly thought the application couldn't be modified by them, and IOF have identified the engineering issue, which as quite rightly pointed out, can be linked to beneficial use-:

As listed on the bureau's site under this header

The criteria for obtaining a Beneficial Water Use Permit (§ 85-2-311, MCA) are as follows and must be proven by a preponderance of the evidence

Adequate Diversion: The applicant must show that the requested water can be properly conveyed from the point of diversion through to the place of use.

The criteria for obtaining a Beneficial Water Use Permit (§ 85-2-311, MCA) are as follows and must be proven by a preponderance of the evidence

So a case of wait and see re how the meeting goes. As shown, the application as claimed by many, wasn't rejected.

I can see from the sensible guys that clearly a mention of fraud and all sorts of other rubbish has been going on, it's not even worth commenting on.

What actually happened-:

io4 and 5 would be running now but the suppliers were late on tower deliveries.

They did a pause re io6 to reconsider but are now building it.

Someone involved in the water permit application was sloppy and didn't thoroughly check the application to get it right first time.

some revenue for H2 has slipped into Q1.

I and others mentioned the obsession with 31 Dec, I have mentioned a few shares with news like that. The most recent I saw, in just a few weeks is now 85% up post it's revenue slip drop.

So the picture we expected by year end has been moved to the end of Q1 with a query over the water permit.

Clearly the plants were not fully optimised to give that 1mt plus comment. But then what is 1mt plus and what level did it achieve, the info is 'out there'.

The main cause of the drop is investors margins and panicking imo not the circs, just as the FT explained.

Complaints of paper losses, which brings me back to Boggle's posts about the 5 year view, which is what every investment site has in it's header.

I won't be reading here a lot as so many morons exist on these threads with multi tags and strange fixations, there is no point engaging with dross on a computer screen.

I'll assume the pose are keeping you up to date with Algorta's $100m plus plan 'Subject to market conditions', (won't happen and way off)

Then of course perhaps they can tell us what Cosayach are in court for, what have they done now?

It always pays to keep an eye on what the others are doing.

Chilean producers are on the edge cost wise many cannot withstand any lowering of the price whereas Iofina as one of the lowest cost producers can.

A lot of long termers are not posting because there is nothing new to post about.the technology works the roll out is underway, slower than planned.water not far away & maybe some oil action in 2014.Most of us are waiting for events to unfold. All the jumping, shouting and mouthing off will not hurry events along. A long term investor is prepared to wait.

Not looked in here for a while and I see that the lunatics have been let out of the asylum led by ramu. I don't think that the company is doing that badly, personally. The previous board was over optimistic. That's about the nub of it and some of the ramu style nut cases who are frothing at the mouth bought in on the over optimism and look to blame everyone else for their own mistake.

I do worry about the softening iodine price though. Surely the Chilean miners, some of them, can tolerate a lower price for longer than IOF can? They are established producers IOF is not.

So Ramu,
You are incapable of arguing against my figures yet you criticised them.

Very disappointing bear case, it seems you are keen to buy in cheaper, I've had you sussed for a while.
That's why I confronted you last night, because you have no arguement with me or my figures.

I'm thinking the figures might suddenly make sense to you when you've bought enough shares, that usually becomes the case.

Like a cat with a mouse, I'll let you go and sulk now.

Ramu,

You are a fruit loop aren't you?

I don't know why I'm encouraging you by asking you this but do help me out here...

If SG has been shorting since £2.50, how come he has also been ramping since £2.50 as you put it?

I've changed my mind, no need to respond. Make sure you take your pills before bed.

sandbang, I did not post anything yesterday and hardly anything on Sat - some days my posts increases because of replies to SG's stooges.

The old posters cannot get a word in simply because they were party to SG's ramping club and anything, anything they say now will be contrary to any ONE of the numerous ramping posts of the past.

Nothing to do with me - my post volume today is purely because of replies, my apologies.
