It's likely that there will be very little left for the shareholders. Normally in admin shareholders get nothing. What's likely to happen is the bank take over and new equity issued for the amount of debt resulting in the current equity having no value at all. That's because of a near 100% dilution of the current equity.

What's the scenario if it goes to administration? I would thought bank will sell its assets, take its own money and give the rest to share holders? If that's the case then intu have enough money to pay back some money to the share holders?

Its an absolute gamble scenario now. If they go into administration the shares will have no value. If you dont want to take a chance that a stay of execution is granted sell up and take your loss. Im taking that chance but I wont be suprised if my shares are worth nothing by Friday

It's a big gamble unfortunately... I think they collect (or not) the rents today, so their might be an announcement regarding that, bad perhaps the banks will pull the trigger based on those numbers?

I doubt it will be very satisfactory to shareholders, but something that keeps the equity element in the game, and buys some more time would be enough for me ...

Because some still have a hope that there will be a satisfactory agreement agreed to delay payment of the debt.

Gollard - the 100% bounce already happened.

zcaprd - HTZ can't happen in Europe or RoW. In the US shares continue to trade even if some form of administration has been declared. Initially they stay on the same market but with a Q appended, and then move to over the counter.

^ The only difference to the likes of Trafford and Lakeside is they will be owned by the secured debt holders who will get a third party to manage them and tear down the Intu branding. Some of the smaller centres eg The Potteries will by managed by the administrators, who will try and sell them. Good luck with that, they may aswell turns the lights off.

It implies the banks are having a conversation, when they could have already put it out of its misery... Given how easy it all is to do that (as it gets pointed out on here every few hours) once the covenants were broken some time ago, one wonders why they haven't pulled the plug yet?

Does this imply that the shopping malls will be OK but owned by the Banks or whatever?

I'm certainly not suggesting buying to try to catch the 100% rise! Thats just gambling and could easily be at 1p... but wtfdik.
