15/3/2019 21:12 | I dont understand why shareholders voted against the deal? The deal would have seen their shares worth 5pc of the improved company. Now they are wiped out. can someone expain pls? txs | micha14
15/3/2019 20:56 | They go on about corruption in other countries at least they let you know your being screwed | pally12
15/3/2019 20:46 | Another who obviously went to same school as Debbie, from bbc january 2018, Neil Wilson, senior market analyst at ETX Capital, said Interserve had had its problems ,"but it's no Carillion" | csmwssk12hu

15/3/2019 19:23 | Another firm that despite making perennial losses managed to present a profitable adjusted eps almost to the death. I really am wary of certain sectors where losses are always creatively presented as profits. TTID is correct Civil Construction is one to steer clear of. I would also add Tobacco. Pharmas continue to please with their perennial massive upward adjustments on EPS...I follow the crowd and invest here even though the balance sheets are total intelligible nonsense. Fwiw Interserve adjusted EPS the last few years..58.8p, 75.6p, 84.5p, 35.6p,1.1p upgraded from losses of nearly half a billion in the last three years. Profit in its purest form is Closing balance and dividends paid out less opening balance sheet. With adjusted eps it can be miles from that. | stewart64
15/3/2019 19:10 | So will those who accepted the open offer still get shares in this new company which is going to be so marvellous? | bouleversee
15/3/2019 18:46 | Yes they will likely get more conracts now. They are a safer bet for their clients. The debt is wiped and the Company now owned by those creditors, and the injection of an additial 110million of funding, will make the balance sheet very strong, and profits will roll in as earnings are no longer being thrown at the debt pile it had. | apfindley
15/3/2019 18:40 | Yes they will be delisted completely on the 18th | apfindley
15/3/2019 18:23 | Irv shares suspended.Will they be delisted Monday? | oliversanvil
15/3/2019 18:19 | Nothing happens if company goes bust shortest borrow shares and promise to return them , if no company exists due to insolvency then lender won’t want them back anyway as have no value. The insteade was probably private investors gambling on company being saved as like carrilion everyone thought it to big to fail | ducati2345
15/3/2019 17:53 | ducati - So what happens in this case? Was the brief increase in the share price a few days ago due to the shorters buying back shares to return to whoever they borrowed them from? What would happen if the company went bust before they did so? There was a petition set up recently to ban shorting of AIM shares. I personally think the ban should be on shorting full stop, as in Germany. Too easy to manipulate the prices. Are you saying Coltrane shorted IRV as well? | bouleversee
15/3/2019 17:10 | Agree that could be a reason, also you don’t know what their connection to the bond holders is, if they are involved in them the 27% is irrelevant, either way it’s definitely wrong what has happened over the last few years | csmwssk12hu
15/3/2019 17:09 | I wonder if Barry Gandoo is still telling everyone what a wonderful company this is to work for? Your shares are now nothing more than magic beans and your pension pot will soon go the same way. HQ full of horrible people | shammytime
15/3/2019 16:58 | A few posters here don’t seem to have understood that USA hedge funds owned a massive amount of shares they also shorted this company so voted against to win on the shorts it was a no win situation fir shareholders. | ducati2345
15/3/2019 16:33 | I thought Coltrane was planning to sue the directors but I doubt if that would bring in much revenue and they can hardly sue a new company. Can one sue a company in administration whose shares are worth zilch? I think not. It will be interesting to see whether they do have anything else up their sleeves. | bouleversee
15/3/2019 16:14 | I think nemanja is right, Coltrane must have some other plan up their sleeve. As it stands the company will go into administration and the banks will become the new owners of Interserve, in essence swapping debt for equity. The company will continue to trade with business as usual. The Cabinet Office have also confirmed this. Staff and suppliers have no need to worry at this stage. Some posters have said another government bail out is about to happen but this is incorrect. The only losers are existing shareholders, including Coltrane. That said I cant believe Coltrane don't have another plan...are they about to offer the administrator a sum of money for the company or is there something else that will come out over the weekend? | montyville2
15/3/2019 15:55 | Perhaps the heading of this board should be changed. Awaiting a burial or a miracle would be more appropriate. | bouleversee
15/3/2019 15:54 | this time: Yes, I think they are suspended. I have lost about £11,600, invested some time ago so no divs. for some time, and my children have also lost several thousand, all in our ISAs, whereas my gains unfortunately are not in ISAs, damn it! andplus: If you mean Costain, their shares haven't exactly been money spinners to date, have they? I still have a holding from way back which are worth practically nothing. All in all, a sector to be avoided i.m.o. | bouleversee |
