We haven't heard the last of Coltrane, I'm sure his lawyers have told him he's got a strong case.

With Carillion and Interserve out of the picture, Constain shares will look very attractive in the next few days!

Are the shares suspended now? Will they open on Monday? Please tell me how much have you lost? Post on this board.

Coltrane did not dump stock yesterday. Additional shares were issued which meant their percentage holding went down.

I'm sure they would, but should it be allowed? What did the directors really want to happen? Perhaps pre-pack was the plan all along.

I wonder if they will be given any more government contracts.

Because the lenders would rather take the whole company, rename it, and make it profitable again and see its value increase significantly, than continue as interserve and have to put up with market regulations and a lingering 5% shareholder base.

I am losing almost the same and my kids likewise. Also cheesed off. What I don't understand is why we weren't allowed to vote on Coltrane's proposal which gave shareholders a somewhat better deal. I also don't understand why shareholders should be sacrificed in order to pay back lenders by transferring their equity. If I make a loan to somebody and they can't/won't pay me back, that should be my problem. I think you would find that if the vote had been in favour, the existing holdings, which had already lost most of their value, would have been so heavily diluted that they would have had no value anyway so Coltrane was either voting against it as a matter of principle or because they were stuffed anyway.

...am still trying to understand how it benefitted shareholders (especially the 70% that are not Coltrane) not to agree to the deal ?

Surely 5% of a company is better than 0% of a company ?

Most odd. And a £12k loss for me. Great.

Back to my thoughts on pre-pack - however the RNS answers my question on the team of lenders forming a concert party to own the new-co.
So I guess with being able to forego their secured loans - no one can outbid them.

Anyone else would have to pay real money for the ownership - about £500m I guess from the RNS whereas the lenders can just structure it anyway they like retaining more loans to be repaid in the future.

Bonuses all round then for another successful fund raise ?

If (he told any truth about the shares) he bought as many as he said in the 80's etc he will have lost a packet anyway.
He indicated his missus was unaware of the losses - how did that go down I wonder ?

I know for sure. I spoke to him on the phone just before he placed the trades.

(not that he ever thanked me for getting him out of the trade and saving him tens of thousands of pounds)

I told specifics about contract "non renewals" which were not highlighted in any rns. But cfc, who pretended to be connected to the company was totally clueless. My info was totally on the mark.

I just hope that at least some people listened to me at 80p-100p and didn't follow Cfc1 and his "my mate knows a director" nonsense.Anyone buying recently after the troubles were known, have acted on the information available, and are responsible for their own investment. Those who invested last year at 80/100+ will have idiot Cfc1 to thank for his ramping and falsehoods.Well done Cfc1, I hope you lost a lot of money dude. No doubt you will bury your head and pretend you sold, or pretend you shorted it, rather than admit you sat on losses from 400+

I drew a comparison with Capita a long time ago after they bit the bullet and did a rescue rights issue and did not pay themselves 125% bonus.

If IRV's management had been up to it they would have done the same.

As it is they will no doubt trumpet that they have saved the company , some stakeholders and of course their own jobs - just the insignificant company owners who got shafted.

Does of course encourage the scrutiny that if you own a business does the management work in their interests or yours ?

Seem like a good idea run up loads of debt go into administration then carry on trading surprised all the the companies don't take up this practice screw banks and shareholders and get here debts written off if an average person made a mistake with thier tax payments could be sent to prison what about directors of companies that delbrately force administration
