09/12/2015 14:29 | TW ramped Petra Diamonds way north of 100p, it is now 63p | nerdofsteel
09/12/2015 14:25 | Always with the shorters. Looks to me like mug punters bailing out of the SS Disaster before it hits the rocks & they lose the lot. | ionlypostafterbbms
09/12/2015 13:16 | with a low # of shares in circulation, no buying interest, no institutional interest and no director buying, the shorters are in full control. | mister md
09/12/2015 11:00 | if anyone interested.. My view on TW need to be aware of mess up he made as MD at Riv. St ...and those of around for decades recall more of his profile.. His comments can be useful...(as can anyone's)...but should then be put in to mixing pot with views from others as part of doing one's own research... Personally I quite like his bad language since when he thinks co. accounts are a "train crash" due to say debt and only an idiot would buy....it really tunes in your brain to look at that aspect of the accounts......wherea But Also, he moves in dark recesses of the city....with contacts with rich bears....so one has to be on guard in case any chance that ever singing a song that others want sung. A risk of X. imho he mostly seems to comment in bearcasts on tiny mining and oil companies with cap. values below £10M ...which 99% of PIs are not interested imho. Niftyfifty tip sheet imo sometimes picks illiquid stocks . Can tipsheet coverage affect the price to benefit of the tipsheet ? TW's group imo sometimes change their minds. A buy tip can change to a sell ! eg. CUPID. That seriously questions the tipster's skills/analysis imo. If you are not hitting the button quickly I guess you could loose out. --- He often mentions a co. and says he's never heard of it before. Which stuns/surprises me. ---- Overall imho he's made a sizeable beneficial contribution to the investing scenario in recent 3 yrs. And its nice that a lot of info & podcasts are free. Website shareprophets.com | smithie6
09/12/2015 10:28 | The TW & bears discussion. imho the 'mkt' seems to price shares of AIM cos. on the claimed EPS and the paragraph of outlet given in accounts And the mkt generally does not seem to read and understand the accounts. Even with comments from writers/tipsters the mass of the mkt still often doesnt seem to want to take notice. I dont think it will change. It does give an advantage to those willing to spend time looking at accounts etc. ---- Sadly the city & dodgy dirs. have taken a lot of people's money over last 2-3 years. But hey what's new ! ---- INTQ. no idea (Except !!....after attack on accounts and business...and big share price fall....the share price has shown little interest in rocketting back up....a negative sign imo) Late to the party imo for me to short & if its a fraud then risk of an RNS at 07:00 causing it to open down a big amount ( numerous commonalities with Globo is a worry.....such as high % turnover in distant exotic places...& main dirs. living outside uk....Greek...) | smithie6
09/12/2015 10:12 | The message on Globo was load and clear from many many respected bears. Those that ignored that message did not do so because those posts were drowned out, but because they were stupid and/or greedy. | rcturner2
09/12/2015 10:10 | The investment world is far from binary loverat ... It's a lifetime of learning . TW and shareprophets is an invaluable source IMO but you need to combine it with your own analysis , and then make a calculated decision based on numbers and the many agendas at work. Always easier to criticise than contribute ? | ramas
08/12/2015 22:56 | And this post proves the point that not everything is rosy - even among his own devoted supporters. Soul Limbo 30 Mar'15 - 00:04 - 21360 of 21370 0 0 I believed his rhetoric when it came to qpp.... and i was wrong as I have stated - no shame in admitting that. And this one proves that you can be 'right' about the stock - but for all the wrong reasons. It also proves the folly of posting links to articles. How many times has TW been 'right' when a stock has eventually been suspended but all the stuff he wrote leading up to it was all guff like this one based on a schoolboy accounting error by TMF ...... and then repeated by Soul Limbo? Soul Limbo 30 Apr'15 - 23:07 - 7784 of 7846 1 0 "However, JQW's cash flow statement for 2014 shows interest income of minus RMB 4,576,000 in other words, JQW paid more interest than it received last year." that's fact !! ................. And the next day, that assertion was confirmed as FICTION. "Thank you for bringing this to my attention. I have contacted the author, who has apologised and acknowledges that your workings are correct. I have, therefore, amended the article with an alternative point and reflected at the bottom of the article that the change was made. Kind regards, Sam Robson Editor The Motley Fool UK" | loverat
08/12/2015 22:47 | its not all down to TW, the stock has been dropping since 23rd March, it was 357p then! | breaktwister
08/12/2015 22:44 | That post by Soul Limbo demonstrates the point. TW has been right on some and particularly so on stocks which have gone down or gone bust. But is this because he has emerged from his disasters as some financial messiah? Or is because it is easy to call AIM stocks down in a bear market? Or easy to jump on the research of others, throw mud at a company and see what happens? Or easy to target Chinese companies and others as more and more are suspended for much the same reasons? I suppose the answer to that is to look to see whether TW has actually posted any new or different information in his articles, than those few posters who have been doing so quietly, honestly and objectively for years on the same companies. | loverat
08/12/2015 22:33 | And once you've twigged why people don't listen to him and his followers on various threads, then think about why the few decent posters who post good research and warnings of issues, also often fail to get through to others. Well the answer to that is all the knowledeable bearish posters who post an honest view tend to get drowned out and overlooked by the noise and thread in fighting. The GBO threads were a prime example of that. Result: You are left with blind rampers on one side and self serving derampers with hardly anything in between. In that respect, TW and Co are more of a hindrance than help to the free flow of decent accurate financial information. That's precisely why I say people should ignore these people and DYOR. Not rocket science. is it? | loverat
08/12/2015 20:39 | amazing how he has managed to trash this - either its a fraud or this has been excessively punished. | mister md
08/12/2015 17:14 | (And they dismissed me on Globo thread as well !! ..since early 2013....) | smithie6
08/12/2015 14:57 | Shorters like TW will never be right 100% of the time, nobody is. The question is whether his success rate is enough to worry you here? Even if gets it right only one in two times, that is still 50% of the time he is right. People on the Globo threads dismissed TW without asking whether he might actually be right. | rcturner2
08/12/2015 14:50 | Loverat, I am not going to engage with you here any more, unless you are interested in actually discussing InternetQ. And for the record - I never posted any TW articles here. I generally post my own opinion based on own research which may have initially been triggered by other sources, including TW. | firede
08/12/2015 14:39 | 2858 LOL What shall I do then - leave you free to clutter up the thread with TW articles? Just encouraging folk to carry out their own research and seek out wide and credible sources of information. Nothing wrong with that. | loverat
08/12/2015 14:33 | Loverat people can make their own decisions but I will never invest on AIM again | jamesjoel
08/12/2015 14:31 | For the love of god, can you please not clutter up every thread with your personal vendetta against TW. Your posts do not contribute towards the discussion of InternetQ at all. | firede |
