18/10/2004 10:10 | Stupid- not sure to be honest but I think they have had the Admiral brand for a while i.e. during times when it's sales were poor.I feel they will concentrate on getting the ASDA partnership right before moving into other areas.George is planned to go through as a global brand & I assume that will be the plan with Admiral too. I think with all this on board IBL have more than enough on their plate to deal with at the moment.I think the sponsorship of the cricket strips would be balanced by the sales of such kits which IBL gets a cut. However I don't think the cricket kits are big bucks. luchan. | luchan
17/10/2004 11:18 | luchan Do you know how the Co operate ie how do they obtain the rights to a name.Could they use the new money to obtain more rights to other brand names .How can they afford the sponsership deals involved as some of these cost many millions. As you can see very new here. | stupid idiot
11/10/2004 10:03 | Stupid- ps. if I remember rightly the settlement for Mr.Yates was included in the figures for the Interims & has been budjeted at a maximum value so not to cause nasty surpises , ie. it's already accounted for. luchan. | luchan
11/10/2004 09:57 | Stupid- I don't know much about charts either , the best bit of research I did was to look in the ASDA local to myself & ask people at work what they think & it's as simple as that.I can't see ASDA standing by after putting most of their potential sports sales in the hands of IBL wo watch them struggle.ASDA will have done their homework to check all the right peices are in place.I still hold VTB & will wait for a while to recoup losses , was not going to sell ther for less than 2.75. luchan. | luchan
