Well done Richard Parris – very impressive. Intercede joins the Transglobal Secure Collaboration Program's list of 9 Silver Partners:

"TSCP has a clearly defined strategy for the global implementation of a secure data sharing standard," said Richard Parris, Intercede CEO. "Being part of TSCP will help Intercede deliver greater value to the A&D community, solving immediate challenges with our established MyID commercial off the shelf (COTS) platform. It will enable companies in the sector to enjoy a common foundation against cyberattack and identity fraud, a benefit that Intercede already delivers to some A&D companies. Within this context, participation within TSCP will enable Intercede to develop new capabilities specifically designed to meet emerging industry challenges, contribute to solutions for secure interoperability, and share lessons learned."

I don't know about the rest of you but I'm anticipating a cluster of in-coming contracts, especially as our piv-1 team is the only format for companies that interoperate with the usa government, at the moment.

symantec/intercede must take advantage of this head start and start pushing their format strongly to take advantage of this early bird situation. on a plus note 80 odd companies are interested otherwise they wouldn't have turned up to see the product launch.

Lots of good times ahead to look forward to.

Should be a big pot to fight cybersecurity next year.

Intercede are in prime position to benefit from this large usa budget.

Our partnership with Symantec's PKI team enables the delivery of a proven solution for the new and fast growing PIV-I market," said Richard Parris, chief executive, Intercede Ltd.

"Deploying our own PIV-I solution positions us to provide private sector clients with the same identity, credentialing and access management services that we have been providing our Federal PIV clients," said William Jacob, senior vice president, ICF International. "We believe that the implementation of Symantec's PIV-I solution will be important to ICF International customers."

PIV-I smartcards are expected to become a key part of the identity ecosystem envisioned in the Obama Administration's National Strategy for Trusted Identities in Cyberspace. To issue these strong identification smartcards to first responders alone will require more than 25 million smartcards, according to an estimate by the Department of Homeland Security.1

Interesting.

Recently piloted and launched in Europe and Asia, the 'Display Card' complements existing card security features through the use of Symantec's VeriSign Identity Protection (VIP) Authentication Service and NagraID Security card technology. By building this authentication technology into debit and credit cards, cardholders, issuers and merchants are further protected from online fraud and identity theft.

The MasterCard 'Display Card' looks and functions like the same magnetic stripe card consumers have relied on for the past 50 years, but features a built-in display that enables cardholders to generate dynamic one-time 'passwords,' providing strong authentication.

Partner gemalto are starting on amercian hospitals now.

Gemalto's Protiva suite contains smart card technology to provide hospital staff with two-factor authentication for authorized user access to the hospital network. They can use either one-time passwords or public key infrastructure (PKI) as the underlying authentication technology, and offers digital signature capabilities.

Archa, igoe provides a lot of good information about IGP so if he wants to repeat one point, it's fine by me.

Happy to have any discussion on this thread whether positive or negative but please keep it civil.

And to balance things out, Booze Allen would also appear to be a worthwhile customer...

Booz Allen has extensive experience in managing the often complex challenge of upgrading a PACS to support Personal Identity Verification (PIV) cards. Many agencies have multiple PACS suppliers, along with systems purchased over many years in different locations and often by different organizations within the agency. The complex challenge with physical access control is to find an affordable, pragmatic approach to upgrading a system while improving speed and security. Booz Allen's experienced PACS professionals can provide a vendor-independent analysis, system design, and overall management for a PACS transformation.

Looks like igp piv-1 team could be global as well as state-side.

"We believe that the implementation of Symantec's PIV-I solution will be important to ICF International customers."

As a result of the Symantec partnership, ICF is now positioned to issue PIV-I smart cards to federal agencies, government contractors, and state and local governments. The firm's smart-card certification also positions it to provide solutions with other organizations that do business with the federal government, including the Defense Department, the firm said.

yump, Symantec bought Verisign who white labeled MyID in 2006. Interestingly, it has since been renamed MyID PIV for Verisign as the MyID brand gets better known.

Here's a case study for them providing PIV cards to the US Department of Education.

Nice to see IGP keeping ahead of the competition with PIV-I :-)

Regarding them becoming a significant UK company, it's not beyond the realms of possibility. With Actividentity now part of HID Global and Bell ID withdrawing from this space (hence the Boeing contract) ,there isn't another major IDCMS with PIV standards for HID's competitors to use. And once the MyID platform is installed in a client, it would take a serious mess up by IGP for it to be replaced.

If PIV standards come to dominate the ID space and they remain independent, there's no reason why IGP couldn't have 50mm revenues in 10 years time. That would give them a profit of 30-35mm and a mkt cap of 500mm. There's a long way to go to get there but on current form I wouldn't bet against it...

Presumably Symantec connection known about before - I missed it ?

Wouldn't it be great if IGP could grow into a really significant UK company, not thinking about the share price rise, but just having something world class technology wise that remains here in ownership.

Great news and takes us ever nearer the £1 mark.

What a great pity there is not more liquidity in the shares as I believe we would see a lot more institutional demand for them and a much higher price.

Onwards and upwards.
