27/9/2017 23:15 | There is a nice deferred tax asset of circa 20M sitting there as well.. It was de-recognised from the accounts. Hmm.... Unfortunately for me I sold out my remaining holding today (well yesterday now). I've been in and out of IEH over the past few months. I think the Convertible Loan Notes holders have too much of a hold over things here. Any deal to be done would have to include them. It could be too messy for some to be bothered with. The board have already stated that they were uncertain about gaining any value for shareholders.. You would have thought they would have exhausted all avenues before making such a statement. Maybe someone new came out of the woodwork after the announcement? I don't think we'll see 3p tomorrow (today) but who knows! There was certainly a lot of shares traded today. | ![]() filster

27/9/2017 22:07 | Looks grim. Note if there is a sale ord shareholders will probably get nothing and any funds go to convertable shareholders "in favour of the holders of the Convertible Loan Notes" As noted in the Company's announcement on 30 June 2017, the Company does not possess sufficient reserves of cash to continue to fund the current cash burn (of approximately GBP1.6m a month) from product sales alone. The Company will have an estimated cash balance of GBP2.7m at 30 September 2017. Material one off cash receipts are expected at the end of November 2017 for cGBP1.6m of cash R&D credits subject to IE being a going concern and cGBP0.9m from the restructuring of SMILE, which is expected no earlier than December 2017. Discussions with potential customers on trading related opportunities have been progressed, which, if they were secured, could offer funding to allow the Group to reach a free cash flow positive position. However, while promising and ongoing, such discussions have not to date translated to signed contracts. In consultation with advisers and significant shareholders the Board, in line with previous advice and indications, has concluded that that it is not viable for the Company to be able to access capital markets in a conventional manner. The Board has therefore already initiated a sale process for some or all of the businesses and/or assets held by the Company's subsidiaries, which will include consultation with the principal holders of the Convertible Loan Notes who are also significant shareholders in the Company. The sale process has and continues to be managed on the Board's behalf by Deloitte. It should be noted that constraints exist in relation to that sale process, including the security granted (as part of the refinancing of the Company in 2016) in favour of the holders of the Convertible Loan Notes. | ![]() dave4545

27/9/2017 21:01 | Something got leaked today. Chinese companies are cash rich. Intelligent Energy said it has thus initiated a sale process for some or all of its businesses and/or assets held by subsidiary companies, with the process managed by Deloitte. | bullet ant

27/9/2017 19:52 | Could be very tight for shareholders should a bid come in for the company given the timeframe and loan notes. Best hope would be if there are multiple intetested parties who will push the price up. They have a cutting edge technology in what will be a multi billion pound market in the near future (clean energy cells), so who knows what may be offered. Anyway, a massive gamble but very interesting to keep an eye on. | ![]() 5chipper
