17/6/2015 19:12 | With £300m to be distributed as a "special dividend" and around 400m shares in issue that means we can look forward to a tasty 75p per share SD. Agree? | pvb
21/5/2015 17:18 | Management will be meeting institutional investors today, tomorrow and next week probably. They have a good story to tell and it will be interesting to see how the share price responds. AUM are set to grow well which always helps. | its the oxman
21/5/2015 14:36 | The webinar was interesting. Gearing is going to rise to 0.8 or 80% after the special dividend against a target of 0.8 to 1.2. This is how they plan to raise the return on equity: by reducing the equity in the business. Targeting an ROE of 13%. So they are deliberately increasing the risk to increase returns. I need to have a think about this. If it works then great, but it could bite them in the bum if there is another recession. | stevie blunder
21/5/2015 12:01 | Thanks Stevie | prita
20/5/2015 20:07 | As I understand it the overall profits are lumpy because realisation of the mezzanine investments cant be predicted, hence the forecasts are lower next year. There should be a smoother progression from the fund managing side of the business. The webinar of today's investor event is up now on the website, hope to be enlightened further :-) | stevie blunder
20/5/2015 19:42 | Also, why are forecast profits expected to go down next year from £178.5m (2014) to £162m (2015)? | prita
20/5/2015 19:40 | Numis are swimming agains the broker tide it seems. A question: does the company have net debt or net cash? The results indicate £454m Net Debt, but then later state Net cash and Equivalents of £392m. Confused.com! Thanks | prita

20/5/2015 09:35 | Worth noting this: "It is proposed that the £300m capital return will be by way of a special dividend, with an associated share consolidation to maintain, as far as possible, the comparability of the share price before and after the special dividend." | speedsgh
20/5/2015 08:16 | Solid results, impairments down significantly and cash flow looks strong. Looks like one for income seekers over the next few months...... The Board recommends a final ordinary dividend of 15.1p. The dividend will be paid on 28 July 2015 to shareholders on the register on 12 June 2015. but in addition......the Board is recommending, in addition to the ordinary dividend, a capital return of a further GBP300m to shareholders. It is proposed that the GBP300m capital return will be by way of a special dividend, with an associated share consolidation. The special dividend and share consolidation will be subject to shareholder approval at the Annual General Meeting on 15 July 2015. £300m = 79p per share | pimsim
