08/6/2016 23:11 | More than one director selling shares recently. Wonder why? Better deal than special div + expected post consolidation price? | pvb
08/6/2016 09:58 | Thanks for the info. | yf23_1
08/6/2016 09:46 | Not sure of reason for today's drop. Liberum have today downgraded ICP to HOLD with 692p price target but can't imagine that is the reason. XD for 15.8p final ordinary dividend is 16/6 so that is not relevant. The following is from the Final Results rns re the proposed 63.4p special dividend: "The special dividend, with an associated share consolidation to maintain, as far as possible, the share price before and after the special dividend, will be subject to shareholder approval at the Annual General Meeting on 21 July 2016. The ex-dividend, record and payment dates for the special dividend and the share consolidation factor will be set out in the AGM circular to shareholders." AFAICS the AGM circular has not been released yet. | speedsgh

25/5/2016 22:23 | Having been through this special dividend process last year, I am not looking forward to more of the same, as it does not seem to benefit the private investor, what with the increased tax liability, for instance. Can anyone help me with the longer term benefit - again there doesn't seem to have been one over the last year, and with reduced number of shares, the ordinary dividend has not increased in line. | jeremy40
24/5/2016 13:51 | Profit taking today I guess, but underlying funds are growing steadily and so will future profits. Demand seems to be strong for the expertise and funds they offer | its the oxman

24/5/2016 08:18 | Bizarre RNS Title: why "Notice of Results"? Results good and another special divi, but headline profit down after revaluation. | deadly

20/4/2016 13:10 | Excellent performance recently and a new highs. Today's sale of assets shows good profit but the market seems disappointed: ....following the sale of Parkeon. The original investments totalled €104.7m; total proceeds being repaid at the time of exit will be €281.8m | deadly
26/2/2016 01:17 | So indeed the Special Dividend is described as being treatable as a normal dividend for tax purposes, despite it apparently being a return of capital: "UK RESIDENT INDIVIDUAL SHAREHOLDERS An individual Shareholder who is resident for tax purposes in the UK (an ‘individual UK resident Shareholder’) and who receives the Special Dividend will generally be entitled to a tax credit equal to one ninth of the amount of the dividend received, which is equivalent to 10% of the aggregate of the dividend received and the tax credit (the ‘gross dividend’), and will be subject to income tax on the gross dividend." Oh dear! :-( | pvb
26/2/2016 01:11 | Thank speedsgh, I will certainly have a look. Indeed, I should already have seen this. Shows I have not been paying proper attention. | pvb
24/2/2016 17:15 | pvb - There are some guidance notes on the taxation of the 2015 special dividend in the AGM notice dated 11/6/15 (see point 10 of Appendix, Resolution 18 - Special Dividend, on pg 11-12 of the notice). Notice of AGM 2015 - Hope this helps. | speedsgh
24/2/2016 15:41 | Grr! I'm in a tizz about tax. :-( Nobody answered my previous question on here. I assume the answer is "Yes". i.e. it is taxable. Anybody know? Please reply if you do. TIA. pvb 28 Jul'15 - 12:14 - 541 of 554 Anybody have a clue about the tax situation wrt a return of capital? e.g. My RoC Special dividend comes with a Tax Credit, implying it is taxed as a normal dividend. | pvb
24/12/2015 13:38 | Yes, like the Graphite Capital acquisition. That is a very sensible strategic move for both companies. | topvest
24/12/2015 11:49 | Looks to be settling over 600p and just made a well received acquisition. | its the oxman
19/11/2015 15:51 | after digesting the results the market seems to like them more, even though there was some confusion over the title: "Notice Of Results - Half Year Statement Tuesday 17 November 2015" - it wasn't notice and the date was wrong. | deadly
19/11/2015 08:53 | The market seems to like the results this half; just a bit disappointed the dividend did not seem to reflect the earlier share consolidation. | jeremy40
18/11/2015 14:10 | Half year results: | pvb
11/8/2015 15:13 | pvb - yes, aware of that. final/special div has been received + shareholding consolidated. post is more for my own personal record re share consolidation. sorry. | speedsgh |
