I do not think that arguments with other posters helps the price of IDP I am well under water here but still believe we have 2 excellent products.
Pity about the very poor behaviour of HC which is only greed if he had better advice another method to fulfill his greed by way of a sale to a fund could have been found I am sure.

I believe I opened this can of worms with my original post days ago about the timing of the boots contract and the legal obligations to report news promptly in both action and spirit of the rules.
I like many other now find this company totally uninvestable.

I congratulate Greg, it takes inner strength and guts to re-assess your holding position, listen to the few dissenting opinions and admit you may be called it wrong, but then go on to expose much more than I highlighted.

What I find astonishing here is the treatment being handed out to Greg, when he was bullish on IDP all the sycophantic posts and admiration come flowing in. Then when he posts well researched articulated opinion that the bulls don't like, he must be sneered at, attacked and undermined.


Another red flag here as far as I am concern save the millionaire bod member actions hitting working class folks investments, isn't the fact he didn't give notice he would sell, its the all-round package of events leading to the sale.
It could be argued that the boots news the proactive interview all shall we say helped the movement of 1 million shares at the best price possible.
Normal punters don't have that luxury when they need to sell, they have to take the price on offer, why should any other shareholder enjoy promotion before sale??

Looking at the accounts from last week, as I have done hundreds if not thousands before on companies. It strikes me as odd that almost every single expense that normally makes up 'Admin costs' are separately listed.
It again could be argued that this is an attempt to on the first view gives the appearance of a lower admin cost than is actually the case.
By definition Wages & salaries, expenses are Admin expense in any companies accounts but listed separately here.
So are listing expenses, marketing costs should be listed separately I agree but strictly speaking, wages and listing fees should not!

The long and short of it means the admin costs stated is lowered to £1.44 million instead of the true figure of over £3 million when the 1.6 million wage bill is added in.
Without wages and marketing and listing expense, admin is a whopping £1.44 million, what the hell is that being spent on then?????

As it stands IDP has Profit before tax of GBP0.67m and admin expenses alone of over £3million.
That is going to take some serious bottles of shampoo to ever make enough profit to justify the £18 million market cap!!

I think i said today that this is not an investable company as it stands imo. Read from that what you like. As I am not a holder of size I am not obliged to post any of my trades but I can say I have made no return here. I am airing an opinion which I think is balanced and factual.. if there are counter facts to my view then I would welcome seeing them. There is clearly more to the hc / Kieron dynamic than meets the eye. The fact they were together at endulj just last year and this is not mentioned but we are told about what he was doing 20 years ago is just plain wrong... trust for me has gone down the toilet here. And for that reason 'I'm out' ....

gregpeck7 - I REPEAT - this smacks to me of an attempt to manipulate the share price. But not by HC - by YOU. Perhaps you'd like to tell us your recent trades and whether you're currently short or long? I'd add that if you ARE attempting to do this, you're wasting your time. It would take a lot more than one small PI's posts to move the needle even slightly.

The final nail in the coffin for me that shows how dodgy this whole thing is looking is the fact that it looks like endulj stopped trading ( happy to be corrected if anyone thinks it still is) around March this year.. at the same time HC announces a 'ceo search' and we find the recently unemployed Kieron, who was with the company all along, previously creaming 20,000 now a lot more, was actually the ideal candidate all along! And to top it off hc was a director of endulj... and to triple top it off, Kieron fronted a capital raise there... again, no mention of any of this to shareholders...

Healthy correction buy in around 100p, just let the short term players unwind their positions for losses. A right royal mugging, let’s pick up their shares on the cheap.

Long term game here, bottom of the cycle coming up, IGNORE the doomsayers, they don’t even have any funds to buy lol

Greg,It gives me no joy to see the decline in IDPs share price. In my experience the only way to learn in the stock market is through losing, and the trick is to learn your lesson quickly. There are lots of stocks out there, I think you are wise moving on.Roots and ST are clearly very good products, but the management here have not covered themselves with glory. Good luck all.

I think this is over the top but very sad to say largely I agree. I forgave the prolong fiasco as I thought it was a one off.. clearly it was not and the second dump was pretty much as described. I am not convinced it's all above board. I have highlighted the previous connections between hc and Kieron that were not brought to shareholders attention, is he really best man for the job or best man for hc? I personally don't believe the boots news was received one day before results allowing hc the very convenient boost to the share price straight as he comes out of a closed period of selling to then dump a million shares, whilst possibly being on tv and yes suggesting numbers are conservative. It does absolutely stink. There is a great product here but my view is that the leadership are significantly scarring the company now. I think they will find it very difficult to attract investment as the fear will be that hc just wants to dump. Until he is out, I don't see this as an investable stock anymore... personally I think he has skated very close to market manipulation rules in his actions and I hope the FCA look into things as they will be able to see the exact timings of all of the events and when the boots news was received by the company. Yes I have changed my mind here and it's a great shame but you have to adapt to what you see and know.. I know a lot more now and none of it is good and I didn't see it coming tbh.
