The share price does not reflect the "facts" here. Look at the way the share price got ahead of itself before the trading update in January. That clearly did not reflect the facts, as the trading update was disappointing and the share price plummeted. I expect there will be a trading update in April some time as that will be three months since the last one. I may be wrong, but I would expect a positive update based on croas' research. Mind you, I have no idea how the share price will react !

Good to hear about the stock levels, croas. That was my main reservation about a couple of months ago. I did do a 'drive-by' at the PPC premises in Thetford on Feb 14th, as I indicated I would on here, but I posted nothing at the time, as I was not a shareholder then and my remarks probably would have been construed as deramping. Basically not a lot seemed to be going on there, in terms of coming and going of vehicles, but it could all have been hectic behind closed doors. I imagine that things have moved on apace at PPC since.
Good sales and good levels of stock is very encouraging.

BB - my figures are facts ;)Of course I don't have full visibility but I don't inflate the figures. If anything I underplay the sales figures. For instance IDP sold 300 Tan and Tone Oil on SD.com in a week or so but restocked about 100 last night or this morning so I probably missed a few sales. PS US website now stocking the professional range in a limited way.

What it needs is a positive trading statement, because it is sluggish to say the least, right now it seems despite the above sales figures being given regularly they do not match the facts!

In my view the company is in pretty good shape coming into the tanning season in the UK. They are acting on the strategy outlined at the last TU.Stock issues seem to be resolved - record amount of stock on all DTC websites.Still some customer service issues but they are improving.Products on SD up to 18 from 11 in Dec.New complimentary products launched.Express Mousse to be launched tomorrow. Acquisitions purchased for buttons - with new stock due in soon.Professional range restocked and selling well. Rollouts to new stores in US - esp HarmonRevamped websites and SD.com offering including videos.

Looks like all those small investors have legged it, read this thread and you would have thought sales were booming, looking at the share price it is stuck in a rut!

O/T (cont). The defensive aspect was part of the appeal (which is why I hold BME).The PEG would still be attractive even if future growth is a fair bit slower. Run a fairly tight stop is you are worried but best not to be overweight in any one stock no matter how much of a bargain it might appear.

Back to IDP. forecast profit for the year from what I can see in £560k. So if sales exceed plan by just a few hundred thousand then EPS will be materially higher than forecast.

O/T Hi Nick - UPGS is interesting 75% growth in the last Q year on year. B&M and action are rolling out 200 stores this year so growth should continue and if the economy dives then budget retailers are where people will head toThe prospectus is very detailed, I need to spend time working out exactly we're the growth is coming from and if it is sustainable.

Skinny Tan listed first when sorted by best seller in the fake tan section at Superdrug. Big banner at the top of the tanning page which should help.

Worth remembering the 60% margins so any beat on sales will drop rapidly to the bottom line.

Croas: I've looked at UPGS and agree the rating looks too low given the growth. Slight concern (as with any new float) of 'window dressing' and also pressure on manufacturing costs but if they can report anything like previous growth to the market they will be sharply rerated.

I've taken a position and may add some more once the stock is clear of the magical £1.65 mark.

I was sent into Superdrug to buy some ST by my girlfriend. All the boxes had a cross on them so I bought St Tropez instead.

NY Boy....rather than missing a golden opportunity sitting on the sidelines waiting for your 165p - why not get in now, and nail a 30p-40p uplift?

You can see on the chart this is a tremendous trading share, moving sideways between 120-170p
