Take South Lakes Council, they have 51 councillors of whom a third are on the planning committee. A very high percentage for you wanting to be qualified.

Igbert - no-one is putting restrictions on who can be a councillor; just that if they want to serve on the planning committee they need to be qualified to do so. Makes total sense; especially after viewing that INL video...

yump - you can't put restrictions on who can be a Councillor like that.

Good luck chaps. Finally sold the remainder of my holding over the past few days so as to affect the price as little as I could, after holding for over 8 years. I shall no doubt drop by from time to time.

Inland Homes plc (AIM: INL), the brownfield developer and housebuilder focused on building residentially led developments for direct sale or on behalf of partner organisations, announces that the Company received notification on 10 June 2021 that Mr M. H. Dixon is now a holder of 9,000,000 ordinary 10 pence shares in the Company, representing 3.9% of the Company's voting rights.

Well, I've signed - doubly so having watched their video. Those appalling amateur councillors showing zilch respect for the necessary housing plans.

That asian guy in particular - a total wally; shameful to think that such important events are left in the hands of committees like that.

I actually disagree with the petition though, as restricting councillors to those who are "professionally qualified" is never going to be sensible.

Not strictly share price related, but relevant to both the house building sector as a whole, and INL in particular, so I hope it is ok to share this link on this forum.https://www.inlandhomesplc.com/latest-news/news-feed/inland-launches-petition-for-compulsory-planning-committee-member-training-and-qualifications/

Skyship I agree share price performance is sluggish compared to other builders. But is this because INL is a rubbish company or do we have a great buying opportunity with a rerate to look forward to? I don't know the answer. One possible reason for the underwhelming price movement is because of the very high level of debt, compared with say PSN who are awash with spare cash. INL have to reduce debt from future profits, PSN spray out dividends left right and centre.

INL has been a bit of a rubbish investment versus all others in the sector; well certainly against the true housebuilders. Chart suggests we may be at a pivot point – certainly the 60p level seems a crucial point.

Judging by the price action over the past few days and some large reported buys, we have a buyer in the Market absorbing the sells.

INL is a serial disappointer; still, looks as though we are nearing a breakout. Bought back in for a few this morning:

Interested to read that in their upbeat statement this morning, BDEV were pretty relaxed on inflation.

Given the continued strength of the market, we are now seeing increases in build costs, currently running at c. 3%, however we continue to expect build cost inflation will be in the range of 1% to 2% for FY21.

Was pleasantly surprised that they anticipate signing the S106 quickly such that they can start construction in the autumn.

I think the best we can hope for here is a buyout, but whilst I was pretty confident of that 18 months ago, I'm less so now.spud
