That's twice he's sold out RECENTLY!

He was Mr INFA posting about 12 posts per day on LSE (all technical stuff, cut and pasted)....the posts bored me to death and I only skimmed a very few of them....it was death by stodge! (to be fair, others raved about them though....I'm on the shallow side I guess).

Either he knows something we don't (always likely as he is well in with the BOD....weird though because Woody & Co. have held fast) or he didn't have the b8lls to hold on through a tough shakedown and thought he could have lost a lot of dosh if it continued to spiral down into a death crash!

Me.....I'm betting on it pulling the joystick up, coming out of the dive and soaring very very very high indeed!!

Horses for courses.

It's likely that some people have noticed the rally in those that have dropped a lot in the last week or so and tried their luck.
Aside from that I think we will resume an upward trajectory as news permits.

I think the rest of us are very lucky ,because when we have people, like those above, with real 'skin in the game' then we are going to get some serious research,
good 'reading between the lines' and a diversified approach.

Then the only thing we have to worry about is the mercy of the stock market!

lol.

LOL Snowman.

Since you put it like that, all is forgiven. Actually, it never bothered me before, as I am somewhat used to it, after occasionally making negative points just to pander to my need sometimes to tone down the uber-bulls on shares that I am interested in!

Anyway, let's move forward, together, and make some big money here over the next year, increase our total understanding of the Infa opportunity, and maybe meet up at the next Infa presentation in London.

ATB,

Great write up Div Mad

Thought the BEIS guy was trying to prove his own reports and research from years back.

We shall see what comes of this committee

"If we had more gas storage, we wouldn't have had...the gas price rises that we had (in the Beast from the East last March)"

"We should plan for extremes in the weather" Chairman of Select Committee

"Very high likelihood of further disruptions" Laura Cohen

"Storage was the most reliable supply during that event"

"The UK has the lowest levels of gas storage relative to annual demand...2% versus 25% in the rest of Europe".

"To replace Rough would cost around £1.3bn and take eight years to build" Roddy Monroe

"Investment incentive required to encourage new investment in storage" I think, Laura Cohen

"I will be very surprised to see any more seasonal storage capacity, only small scale additions" eg IslandMagee, is her referring to? Roddy Monroe

"Market signals to justify new storage aren't there" Roddy Monroe

My take:

The witnesses (except for the National Grid spokesman who seems to live in La La Land) and the Select Committee members seem convinced that the UK have very clear insufficiency of gas storage, either to cope with a Beast from the EAst again this Winter, or in the future. The closure of Rough has exacerbated this supply constraint but market incentives to replace Rough in scale are not there. The rest of Europe is increasingly facing its own storage problem, as flexible supplies of domestic gas are shrinking (Groningen in the Dutch NS sector), and as NS gas fields mature, with less pressure, pumping out at maximum rates as it is. So the choices are: interconnectivity with Europe via pipelines, LNG, storage. Problems with each, so more gas storage would seem to represent a national strategic benefit.

I am not sure how much this discussion today impacts on IslandMagee, as it will be a short term storage facility, not a seasonal one like Rough. And clearly on its own, it will not solve the UK's storage capacity deficiency. Maybe 2 or 3 IslandMagee's would.

Although not discussed directly, I can envisage, after this session especially, that gas price volatility will increase over any future period, versus historic volatilities under calmer conditions of flexible supply. This will play directly into IslandMagee's strength, and should be a USP to any offtake customer/partner.

So that's a thumbs up for fast cycle MRS that allow numerous injections and withdrawals, thus maximising profits!A quote from a recent FEED milestone RNS "The engineering design that has been completed is intended to position InfraStrata's proposed Islandmagee facility as a globally competitive and technologically advanced, fast-cycle, pioneering gas storage facility. Costain, DEEP, Atkins and WSP have all worked together seamlessly to ensure the best possible outcome for InfraStrata."
