Indivior PLC said Friday that it has reached a confidential settlement with Dr. Reddy's Laboratories Ltd. to resolve all claims related to a patent litigation for a generic treatment for opioid addiction.

The U.K. pharmaceutical company said the amount of the settlement is consistent with its previously disclosed reserve amount.

Shares at 1057 GMT were up 6.4 pence, or 2.1%, at 309.6 pence.

At least there is certainty now and I suppose it's only aspects of the product that were not found to be patentable a couple of years ago.

Indivior PLC - Richmond, Virginia-based pharmaceutical firm - Enters into a settlement agreement with Indian pharmaceutical company Dr Reddy's Laboratories Ltd and its subsidiaries together with Aquestive Therapeutics Inc. Explains that the settlement is for a patent infringement case regarding DRL's generic buprenorphine and naloxone sublingual film that is equivalent to its Suboxone sublingual film.

Says that the settlement resolves all claims between the parties. Says the amount it had to pay to DRL following the settlement is consistent with its previously disclosed reserve amount.

In November 2018, DRL filed two petitions against Indivior's Suboxone patent so it could launch a cheaper generic version of the drug.

In June 2020, the Patent Trial & Appeal Board of the US Patent & Trademark Office ruled that some parts of Indivior's patent for Suboxone are "unpatentable".

Current stock price: 310.13 pence, up 2.3% on Friday

Also market volumes are pretty thin so its proving easy to manipulate. The Jefferies presentation yesterday seemed very positive with nothing untoward. So we will see what the next few months bring.

Could be technical traders hoping to revisit the low 280s.The UK equity market is pretty aimless currently,stocks been manipulated up and down in fairly well trodden trading ranges.

Dunno, the PI is always the last to know anything worth knowing. But, I am pleased that INDV will have the opportunity to take more shares out of circulation at a lower cost. Today we have the ECB interest rates and the US weekly jobless rates. The Markets work in mysterious ways.
