It's not just port but any booze, and also a high protein diet - in other words, it is a disease of affluence.

I dare say teh teetotal lettuce-munchers are immune, but would you want to be one of those types?

Unlucky graham, hope it gets better soon. Just as a word of advice from an older gent to a younger gent, is there anything I should be avoiding - I always thought this was a port related condition, but judging from my research earlier, it seems to be far from teh case. Best I can look to do is drink loads of water and bleck cherry juice, although it has to be said with teh extremes of dehydration I occassionally suffer, perhaps it is already too late for this avatar.

Although iirc Shirley Williams spoke teh most sense of teh lot last time she was on. Perhaps she has finally grown up.
