David Dimbleby is joined in Basingstoke by Hugh Grant, Chris Grayling, Baroness Williams, Douglas Alexander and Jon Gaunt

Could be quite good. I wonder if there will be any questions about using a hooker who looks like teh back end of a bus when you have one of the most gorgeous women on earth waiting for you at home?

Mikey, remind me what I've got a chip on my shoulder about? Self-satisfied - maybe (despite the mental anguish), but chippy? Nah.

I block it all out, gra. I couldn't cope otherwise.

Minkey

as i am sure you are well aware my comments re pain and threshold were laid in order to draw out several of your many stories re your "hardness" an pain tolerance which the BB has endured over the years. i am sure there a a few missed stories and even more will come to light over the years.

Ah, well, i'm really not that sure I dare 'say' Graham.

Perhaps all you need to know is that it is working. (although teh free bb still has that virus/error - I think I need to "reset" it)

Fair play to you for packing it in when you did, mate.

16 hours (or however long it was) of listening to him lecturing you about teh plight of teh Kurds must have drove you close to suicide.

I do wish you'd packed it in a bit earlier though.

On a totally unrelated subject:

What that expression about people throwing sh1t and some of it sticking?

#9562 Cheers mate. I feel better already (although that may also have a lot to do with the bottle of wine I've just had).

#9561 Aye. He's as thin as a rake and although was patently less fit than the rest of us and was 'carried' for much of the way, he still had enough in him to finish relatively happily. Fair play to him, mind.

#9559 - I think it helps keep you grounded mate if you remember teh failings as well as teh successes. Still what you managed (iirc) was still a pretty decent acheivement and let us not forget your recent long run success story.

#9541 That wasn't on a par (thanks for mentioning it though). The pain was only a contributory factor - the fact I knew what was in store if I finished (including potentially a week off work with toes falling to bits and a very unhappy wife) combined to create a defeatist state of mind. I have since tried to persuade the other 3 to do it again (to make up for the crushing disappointment that I had largely forgotten until just now) but 2 of them said never again, they wished they'd stopped with me.
